Chapter 14 - Aedan's Feast: Q & A (Part 1)

"Welcome back, everyone! We're still live on Facebook and on Youtube! Now, we are back with our 5 aspiring Kings and Queens but only two will be crowned today." sabi ni Mark. "Before we head to our Question and Answer portion, we have a special guest we have to introduce to all of you. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our former King and Queen of St. Aedan! Rex Mendiola and Gina Quirinto!" banggit ni Mark at nagpuntana sa stage ang former king and queen.

Nang mag-walk sila sa stage ay nagpunta na ngayon sila sa tabi ni Mark, "Hello Rex and Gina, would you kindly greet our audience today?" tanong ni Mark at binigyan silang dalawa tig-isang mic.

"What's up, St. Aedan High!" sigaw ng dalawa at mga hiyaw ang aming narinig mula sa audience. "Wow, it's really great to be back to our beloved garden." banggit ni Rex. "Yes, that's true. Thank you for having us here, Mark." sabi ni Gina. "Well, thank the organizers for that. So uh, tell us, what did it feel like when the two of you won last year?" tanong ni Mark.

"I wasn't really expecting that I would win last year. My classmates just forced me to represent them. I have literally no experience in the runway nor even I have high self-esteem but- thanks to my mom, which is very supportive, she taught me how to be strong and be myself with confidence." sagot ni Gina, isang patunay kung bakit siya naging Queen ng St. Aedan.

"How about you, Rex?" tanong ni Mark at sumunod nito ang mga hiyaw at tili ng mga audience bago siya makapagsalita.

"I'm confident to say that I got it, sabi ko sa sarili ko, 'I've worked hard for this, I did everything I could and I believed and prayed for that moment to get the crown... and I did." sabi ni Rex. "Well, any advice to our candidates this year?" tanong ni Mark. "Me um... just be yourself and have fun. It's not really about the crown, it's about you, confidently performing and showing your uniqueness and imperfections to the people." sabi ni Gina.

"Of course, stay on track and keep your head held high, even if you lose, it doesn't matter, there will always be a next time. Maraming pageants na pwede kayong salihan instead of this, mas makikilala rin kayo kapag dun kayo sumali sa mga local pageants." sabi ni Rex. "Thank you to the two of you." sabi ni Mark at kinuha ang mga mic nila. "Once again the former King and Queen, everybody!" banggit ni Mark at nagpalakpakan ang lahat bago bumalik sa backstage ang dalawa.

Nakasalubong ako ni Rex at napangiti siya, "Hi." sabi niya at binigyan ko siya ng sama ng tingin. "Oh bakit ganyan ka kaagad? Nawala na ba yung tuwa sa mukha mo sa lahat ng pinagsamahan natin?" tanong ni Rex. "Wag mo 'kong kausapin." sabi ko. "Bahala ka, sige. Congrats nga pala for being the president of the student council... isang taon na pala nakalilipas noong hindi kita nabati." sabi ni Rex.

Nang mawala sila sa paningin ko, may ilang mata ang nasa akin dahil sa naging usapan namin ni Rex ngayon lang...

"Okay, during the break, we randomly picked an order and the boys will go first." sabi ni Mark at sinabi, "May I call on the Vice President of the student council to help me on stage." sabi ni Mark at nagtungo si Tiana na may suot na violet and blue dress, mayroon ding ilang mga palakpak na nagmula sa audience ng lumabas siya.

"Our first candidate to be questioned from the guys, candidate 19, Gabriel Kaleo." sabi ni Tiana at humakbang si Gab patungo sa kanilang dalawa at inilapit ang mic pagkatapos batiin, "Congratulations for making it to the top 5." sabi ni Tiana. "Thank you." bigkas naman ni Gab.
