jackson as best friend

..........................................................................................................................................................

Your fingers tapping on your phone screen, you checked all your social media waiting impatiently for the boys. As you staring intently at your screen, your attention was so diverted that you didn't realize someone was creeping up behind you.

'HAH!' someone screamed in your ear, a pair of heavy hands slamming on your shoulders, causing you to yelp and jump slightly, attracting some strange and annoyed looks from the rest of the customers.

Glaring at the figures that stifled their snickers as they sat down, your boyfriend, Mark slid next to you hi own shoulders shaking, containing his laughter.

'Ha ha very funny Jackson,' you said voice dripping with sarcasm, glaring at you best friend sitting opposite you still howling with laughter.

'You should have seen the look on your face,' he chuckled, mischief glinting in his eyes. 'You looked like a deer caught in headlights,' he grinned.

'I'll get you back,' you almost growled, causing the rest of the members to shake their head watching your childish banter.

'Oh realllyyyy,' Jackson drawled, not taking you even the slightest bit seriously, as he took the plastic laminated menu, flicking through the pages.

Huffing, you ignored him, the beginning of a plan formulating in your brain. You felt an arm sliding around you and you glanced annoyed as Mark, tried to pacify you.

'Just to let you know,' he said quietly trying to defend himself. 'I did NOT agree to that,' he said.

'Don't be such a goody-two-shoes, Mark hyung,' Bam Bam scoffed. 'You should have seen him encouraging Jackson,' he said turning to you, doing a poor imitation of your boyfriend.

Raising an eyebrow, you turned to look at Mark who was red in the face either, angry at Bam Bam or embarrassed at being caught.

Sighing at your boyfriend's childishness, a small smile formed on your pink lips as the last pieces of the plan clicked in your brain like the final pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.

'Well, it's a small thing right?' you said sweetly. 'Now let's just order some food I feel like I'm going to die of starvation,' you joked, seeming to go back to your usual self.

Shocked at your sudden change in temperament, the boys decided to take advantage of it and order their food before you went nuclear on them. As you watched them order dish after dish you paid particular attention to what Jackson ordered: a regular lunch box set.

As soon as they finished ordering, you stood up and slowly got out of the booth you were in. 'Where are you going?' Mark asked.

'Just to the toilet to wash my hands I'll be back,' you said, heading to the back of the restaurant, taking a small little detour on the way.

Stopping at the cashier which was hidden from sight, you whispered a 'special order' to the manager, lips pulling into a grin as you did so. At first his brows pulled together in a puzzled expression but after a bit of persuasion and maybe a tip or two, you managed to get your special order.

Heading back to your seat, you grinned as you saw your plan materialize. Looking at you suspiciously, Mark leaned down to ask you. 'Someone seems to be in a good mood,' he remarked.

'Well, it must just be the shining presence of GOT7,' you joked, raising your eyebrow.

Laughing, this seemed to break the tension and soon you and the boys were chatting like usual, until of course the food arrived. Tray after tray of fragrant food wafted in the air making your mouth water as all of your eyes were transfixed on the food making even you forget your plan momentarily.

As all of you dug in, you kept a close eye on Jackson as he took his metallic food container with his lunch inside to mix up the rice and seasonings, before opening it up, and shoving a whole spoonful into his mouth.

Trying hard not to smile over the top of your spoon, you could see Jackson's face turn pale, before changing colors rapidly to a deep bright red. If you paid close attention you could even see the steam coming out of his ears.

'AHHHHH' he screamed, fanning his tongue, sticking it out, and grabbing the nearest glass of water, which happened to be Bam Bam's before draining the entire glass.

Unable to control your laughter anymore, you burst into a fit of giggles, as you watched your best friend try anything and everything in his power to extinguish the fire that was ravaging his taste buds.

Motioning frantically for the pitcher of ice water next to JB, he managed to drink most of the water but at the same time drenching his sweatshirt completely.

By this time all the members were laughing with you as they watched the state that Jackson was in. Glaring Bam Bam protested: 'You finished all my water!'

Gasping for breath Jackson collapsed into his seat, breathing as if he was fighting for his life. 'Did you NOT see the life-threatening experience I was just in?' he asked, waving his arms in the air acting as if he had just seen Death in the face and survived.

'Hyung' Bam Bam, who, being from Thailand was used to eating spicy food, replied exasperated. 'You ate some spicy food that's all, it's not the end of the world,' as he called for more water.

'But-but,' Jackson stuttered. 'My taste buds were BURNING,' he nearly shouted, attracting more unwanted stares from the other patrons.

Noticing the fact that your head was buried in Mark's neck, shoulders shaking from suppressed laughter he turned on you. 'You knew about this didn't you?' he asked suspiciously, motioning to the lunch box which he had pushed to the other side if the table as if it contained a nuclear bomb.

'Maybe,' you grinned, lifting your head up and flashing him the most innocent smile you could.

'OHHH you are so dead,' he scowled, putting his hands together.

'An eye for an eye right Jackson?' you grinned, stealing his lunch box and taking a spoonful of the extra spicy fried rice you had secretly ordered for him.

'I'm so suing you if I get digestive problems for this,' he pouted drinking another glass of water.

'Well, at least I got you back and that's all that matters,' you finished, a self-satisfied smirk on your face, pleased to have gotten your 'revenge'.

'Just wait (Y/N), just wait,' Jackson fake-threatened reaching over for some grilled pork instead, flicking you lightly on the arm and this time being more careful to steer clear of anything that looked remotely spicy.
