You fling your long glossy, (H/C) over your shoulder as your best friend texts someone on her phone, her fingers flying across the screen. Taking a hair tie, you tie up your unruly hair into a long ponytail and search for your Biology textbook which was buried somewhere in the depths of your locker. Finally managing to extract the book, you slam the door locker shut, and since (BFF/N) was sufficiently busy with her phone, you watched as the rest of the student body rushed by. As a scholar, an elite group of students that were taking the express course of study, you barely had any time to just stand and relax for a while and you leaped at the opportunity to do so.

Not that you weren't grateful to be here. (S/N) was one of the most prestigious schools in Korea and it was even listed as one of the top ten schools in the world. Everything about this school was sleek and shiny, from the students to the facilities. They had a swimming pool to rival an Olympic stadium, an art studio where if artists like DaVinci or Michelangelo were alive, would love to just stay and drown themselves in painting, their music room was big enough that it had a professional recording studio, karaoke and huge area for the orchestra practise, all with sound-proof walls. But by far the best in your opinion, was their library: it had rows and rows of shelves, leather bound books standing proud and tall like little soldiers. You could spend 24 hours reading inside there every day and you would have to stay there for several lifetimes to go through the entire library.

Scholarships were few and far between but fortunately you had managed to snag one, knowing that your mother couldn't possibly pay for the outrageously expensive school fees, already having your younger brother to look after.

Sighing, you broke out of your thoughts, as you heard the bell ring, sounding ominously like a jail sentence as it rung out, signaling the next period, you and (BFF/N) made your way to class, where you had to cram more and more knowledge of the Krebs Cycle and glycolysis into your brain making you want to hurl.

'God that was hard,' you complain as, mentally exhausted, stumble out of the Biology class, with (BFF/N) close by, her face equally tired and pale.

'And Mr Park gave us SO much WORK,' she groaned pushing her book bag further on her shoulder which was beginning to slip off.

'I think we'll be like, 90 by the time we finish it,' you giggled, trying to lighten the mood, as both of you chucked the rest of your books in your lockers before heading to lunch.

Tipping her head back, she laughed despite the lameness of your joke. That was one of the things you loved about (BFF/N) she could see the bright side of things and laugh and be cheerful in any situation. God knows what you would do if she weren't around.

Surrounded by spoilt rich brats probably you thought sourly. You had been here long enough to get to know most of the students and what they acted like. The girls from the elite or 'scholar' stream were constantly competing amongst each other for marks and ranking so it was no point befriending them when all they wanted to do was stick their noses in books the entire time or compare their marks with yours, which frankly made you uncomfortable.

The 'exclusive students' or in your mind you called them the 'spoilt rich brats' were as the name suggested: rich, tended to throw huge tantrums when they didn't get what they wanted and were constantly talking about the latest IPhone or designer bag. Just passing by and eavesdropping on one of their conversations made you want to roll your eyes and run to the nearest bathroom.

'Earth to (Y/N),' (BFF/N) said snapping her long fingers in front of your face, nearly making you stumble into her which would have been incredibly embarrassing.
