mark as boyfriend ...................................................................
'Mark,' you holler from downstairs as you stood on tiptoes but to no avail, the star which was supposed to go on the top of the Christmas tree hanging limply in your left hand.
'What?' you could hear your boyfriend's voice reply from upstairs.
'A bit of help here,' you called, hopping down from the stall which you had dragged from the dining room, which was proving to be of no use to you at all.
You could hear the thunder of footsteps as he came downstairs pulling on a sweater as he bounded down.
'Mark Tuan at your service,' he grinned slinging an arm around your shoulder.
'Why don't you make yourself of some use and hang up that star on the Christmas tree,' you suggested poking him in side before wiggling out of his grasp.
'And fix your hair while your at it mister,' you ruffled his hairdo as you left for the kitchen.
'That took me 2 hours to do!' you could hear your boyfriend protest in the hall as he grudgingly hung up the star.
'It's not my fault you're short,' he shouted back always wanting to get the last word.
A grin playing on your lips, you shook your head as you went to check on the cookies that were baking in the oven. Leaning down to peek at the golden brown morsels that, you were pleased to see that they baking nicely, releasing the smell of cinnamon and vanilla which wafted through the house and perfectly matched the atmosphere of Christmas.
'Don't I get one of those?' your boyfriend asked as he wrapped his long arms around your waist.
'If you want to burn your tongue off then be my guest,' you gestured to the still baking cookies.
He pouted cutely, pretending to sulk.
'Fine, fine you get one when their done,' you gave in, it was very very hard to say no to Mark especially when he was being persuasive like this.
'But if you burn your tongue it's not my fault,' you muttered under your breath heading to the living room to crash after decorating the house for the entire day.
You sighed sinking into the couches, with a groan. 'When are the boys getting here?' you asked Mark as he sank into the couch slinging an arm around you leaning his head around your shoulder.
'I don't know,' he shrugged. 'You know how Bam Bam and Yugyeom are they're constantly late,' he muttered.
'Let's hope they don't get caught in the snow,' you muttered mostly to yourself glancing out of the window worriedly.
'Well at least we can spend Christmas in some form of peace and quiet,' he whined clinging on to you.
'And we would have tons of food that we would be unable to finish,' you replied.
'I can finish all of it,' he scoffed still leaning onto you.
'Besides,' he grinned leaning closer to you. 'Isn't it better for us to spend our first Christmas together?'
'Are you trying to be romantic here Mark Tuan?' you asked leaning away from him, teasing.
'Maybe,' he teased leaning closer until both of your noses were practically touching.
You placed a single index finger to his chest pushing him away. 'No kisses before dinner,' you smiled.
'We can always have dessert early.' he teased leaning down and he was about to place his lips on yours when the sound of the doorbell reverberated through the house.
'If that's them I swear to God,' he growled above you as you attempted to extricate yourself from under him.
'Oh no you're staying right there,' he said pointedly leaping from the couch to get the door.
'It was the delivery?' Mark asked puzzled as he shot you a glance carrying several boxes of pizza that went up sky-high.
You laughed at his look of confusion. 'I was lazy to cook,' you shrugged.
'So our Christmas meal is going to be let's see,' Mark took a glance at the flavors that you had ordered. 'Hawaiian, chicken pepperoni, barbeque, four cheese, margarita, all meat, seafood and vegetarian?'
'Okay, there's one pizza for each of you. By the way the vegetarian one is for me if you touch it you die. You guys can fight over the rest,' you said in a gush as you helped him carry the pizza boxes into the dining room.
'So,' he said turning to you. 'Where were we?' he asked.
'Discussing whether your poor members would be stuck in the snow and if they were ever going to get here in time,' you reminded him although you knew that wasn't exactly the answer that Mark wanted to hear.
'Hmmmm,' he grinned sliding up next to you. 'Look,' he whispered in your ear. 'Mistletoe,' he said pointing upwards, where true enough the iconic green leaf was hanging above both of you.
'Does that mean I have to kiss you?' you teased, trying to escape the inevitable moment.
'You are so not going anywhere,' he growled, leaning in as you backed away slowly until you're back finally hit against the door frame.
'Looks like there's nowhere for you to escape,' Mark teased a glint of mischief in his eyes as he quite literally had you cornered.
'I guess I'm going to have face the consequences then,' you retorted, a hint of a playful smile on your lips.
He didn't even bother replying, you caught the faintest glint of fire in his eyes before he placed his lips on yours. He smelt like mint and chocolate and Christmas and his lips tasted like home.
It was amazing how everytime he kissed you, it always felt new. It was amazing how that his touch was able to chill you to the bone but burn you up at the same time.
You loved how that when both of you kissed you could feel the curve of his lips as he smiled into it. You loved how he could make you forget about everything, just with the brush of his lips. They were magical, kissing all your troubles, all your worries away.
As he cupped your face leaning in further, deepening the kiss, this time both of you were once again rudely interrupted by the harsh sonorous sound of the doorbell, that jangled impatiently. Nearly jumping apart, you noticed that Mark's hair was mussed and giggled, reaching up to fix it.
'We're continuing this later,' he whispered in your ear, an arm around your waist as both of you went to greet your family.
