Shelby's POV
I was walking the streets of Gary, just a normal day, then I walked into my house and went upstairs. I sat on my bed, when all of the sudden, Eddie came out and jump on top of me. He started pinning me down and calling me a slut. He ripped off my shirt and pants, and turned me over and started to rape me. I Screamed in horror as he hurt me with every push. I tried to get away from him, but he was holding me down. "This is what you get, you BITCH," He said to me as he slapped the shit out of me.
"AHHHH!!!," I screamed as I sat up in my bed, sweating everywhere. I started panting and my breathing got raspy.
"Shelby, are you okay?" Michael asked pushing through the door.
"It was just- it was just a nightmare," I said to him
"It's okay, I get those to," He said walking over to me and hugging me.
"Do you wanna talk about it," He said
"Well, it's started out just a normal day in Gary, and then Eddie came and raped me, Im just so scared Michael!" I cried into his chest.
"Oh Shelby it's okay, I won't let anyone or anything hurt you. I won't let him get anywhere near you, ever, I love you Shelby, I really do love you," He said
" I love you to," I said
We sat there for a little while, when Michael got up to leave
"Wait! Will you stay with me?" I asked him
"Sure," He said nodding.
We both got under the covers and cuddled in close to each other. He had his hands in my hair, and I had my face in him chest. When all of the sudden I hear:
"Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky

Michael was singing to me.

Smile and maybe tomorrow

It was the most beautiful singing I had ever heard
A tear escaped my face as I Smiled into his chest.
"Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness

You'll find that life is still worthwhile

His voice was so perfect.
He finished the whole song, and kissed my forehead.
"I love you Michael," I said
