"Why would he do this?!?" Michael said, pacing the room.
"I have no idea, do you think he could be jealous?" I said.
"No, he has a wife and children, Shelbs, him and Hazel are very happy," he said
"Maybe he's just mad at you," I suggested
"Well what did I ever do to him?!" He said, looking straight into my eyes.
"Well I don't know, I don't know Jermaine like you do," I said.
"It's because of my success......." he said
"What do you mean?" I asked, grabbing his hand
"It's because I was the lead singer of the Jackson 5 and wasn't! HE WOULD BE THE MOST POPULAR MAN IN THE WORLD IF IT WASNT FOR ME GOD DAMNIT! Shelby...... there's something I've been hiding from you....." He said
"What, What is it Michael, just tell me," I said calmly
"I have to.... I have to..." He said
"Michael just tell me!" I said, taking both of his hands.
"Starting in February, I have to go on tour...." he said, tearing up.
"How long have you known?" I asked
"Since..... September...." he said crying on my shoulder
"Ohh Michael, it's okay," I said, Caressing the back of his head.
"The thing is, Frank said you could come with, but I don't know if it's a good idea, you being pregnant and all," he said, as we sat down on the couch.
"Michael, I would rather be on tour with you, than being alone at Neverland for another seven to eight months, it's okay, we'll figure it out," I said.
"We can hire a personal doctor or something," he suggested.
"That sounds great," I said
"I know one, she's very good at what she does, and I think she would be happy to come with," He said
"Okay, then it's settled," I said, giggling.
"But, she might have to bring her family, she has a husband and two children, is that okay?" He said
"Of course it's fine, Michael! It'll be fun to travel the world with you!!" I said, hugging him.
"Let me just call my parents," I said
"Okay," he said
I picked up the phone from the table, and dialed the number.
"Hello?" My father said
"Hi daddy, it's Shelby, and I have some news," I said
"Well, What is it?" He said
"I'm going on tour with Michael for all almost all of 1988! I'm so excited!!" I said
"Shelby, are you sure this is a good idea?" He said
"Yes, dad! I'm a grown woman you know?" I said
"Okay, well we love you, goodbye sweety!" He said
"Bye daddy!" I said
"Oh Applehead! I'm so excited!!" I exclaimed
"I am to! And I'm so glad you gonna come!" He said, kissing my forehead.
