Well, my grounding expanded. I'm not aloud to use my phone, my laptop and of course, I can't leave the house unless it's important.
Nothing screams summer vacation more than spending three days in a room, while my friends are out about enjoying the sun. Well almost everyone...however, I understand why I'm being punished. If I were in my mothers shoes, I definitely wouldn't want my child to run out the door and doing whatever they want with whoever they want.
Still, Jasmine would've probably enjoyed company at the hospital. Please let Mike stop by so I could explain why I can't visit Jaz. In no world would I want Jasmine to think that I'm too busy to stop by, I get shivers just thinking about it.
"Hey," Caden smiled, knocking on the already open door.
"Can I help you?" I asked, closing the book I was reading.
"I was hoping you'd help me pack, you know for college," he shrugged.
"Oh, right. Yeah of course," I replied, standing to my feet and following him across the hall to his room.
"I already have some of the things packed ready to go, but the clutter on my desk and dressers need to find a place to go," he explained, pointing at the mess of things that were beginning to pile up.
"You got an empty box?" I asked.
"There's one on my bed," he stated , nodding over to the cardboard box.
"When do you leave?" I questioned, beginning to stack items that seemed important into the box.
"Next week, but I need to ship all these boxes to Florida so they'll be there when I arrive," he answered, taping another box together.
"Oh, are you excited?" I laughed.
"Extremely, but I'm also a bit nervous. I haven't gone to school for two years so I might be a bit rusty with the academics," he admitted.
"You'll do great, the professors will love you,"I assured.
"Don't be so sure about that," he chuckled and duct taped another box closed."So, how long are you stuck here for?" He added.
"Three days," I sighed.
"Sorry about that," he apologised, stacking two boxes on top of each other.
"You didn't tell me to walk out and crash Mason's family night," I laughed.
"True, But I was the reason you left," he reminded, collapsing on his chair.
"It's not your fault Caden, it's mine and I deserve the punishment. Besides, maybe we can have our own family night," I decided.
"Yeah, try getting mum to agree to that," he smirked and shook his head.
"You're right, stupid idea," I nodded and placed a trophy in the box.

"You're all set,wiz kid," I joked and placed the last last box on the stack that was nearly as high as the door.
"Thanks for the help," Caden said, trying to stable the boxes.
"Anytime, when are you shopping all this junk?" I asked.
"Tonight, I'm dropping off this stuff at the post office on the way to meet the guys,"he explained, as he stepped away from the boxes and headed towards his chair again.
"The guys?" I wondered, raising a brow. "Since when did you have friends?" I laughed.
"Well, one being Seamus, some being the kids I hung out with in high school, and some that Seamus wants me to meet," he answered, slouching in his chair.
