Undercover (Damian)

Going undercover was the only choice and Damian hated having to put you in the situation. But Burce made it clear. This was necessary to catch the gang and end the gang war that terrorized Gotham.

Now, after two months, you are sneaking in to mess up the final deal enough that Batman can reasonably say he caught wind of some disturbance without endangering you and be retrieved without anyone noticing you go missing. The classic "newb can't handle seeing The Bat and ran" card.

But it went wrong. The other gang caught you. You had no idea what the plan was on either side. And now you are held hostage inside a vault at "the meeting point" waiting for someone to show.

Your only hope is that your emergency signal you managed to set off on your ear piece gets through the basement to Batman and Robin.

Suddenly a gas grenade is released into the room and the vault is locked shut.

"It was a setup! Get that damn door open! Forget about the girl!" The leader snaps.

The men try to open the door but fail, the gas making it impossible to breath enough to do anything.

They pass out fast. You pass out soon after.

"I told you not to do this! This is your fault!" Damian snaps at Bruce quietly in the hospital room, the only sounds are the oxygen mask and heartbeat monitor.

Official police report is you were kidnapped by them as a hostage for their plan. The other gang never hurt innocent women and children, so it was believable.

"I know... I know... but we need to focus on her health now... it's all we can do." Bruce says solemnly.

Damian takes your cold hand in his gently, thumb stroking the back of your hand gently.

"She's going to wake up, right..?" Damian asks, his voice barely a whisper now.

"I don't know Damian... The doctor said she shouldn't even be alive right now..." Bruce says, a tear streaking his face.

He never ment to fail you or his son, now he has done both.
