That's Not Love (Bruce)

Sorry it is short, but this is just a little drabble for awareness of abusive relationships and that all a victim needs is support and friendship.

Bruce was always supportive of you. You were like a sister to him for years. You knew everything about each other.

So when you met your boyfriend, bf/n, and things were working out, Bruce was thrilled for you.

You spend most nights with bf/n now, but what Bruce doesn't know is that this is because you are being forced to.

Most of the time it, bf/n is just calling you names and insulting you when you do something silly or clumsy. Sometimes if you say something snarky or sassy he will slap you.

So one night while being belittled by bf/n, you decided to try to leave. Picking up your phone and starting to dial Bruce, you are suddenly punched in the side.

You yelp in pain and fall into the wall.

Bf/n stands over you and yells, "You don't walk away from me!"

He then goes to kick you when suddenly he is tackled down by a black blur.

You hear a solid crack of a fist hitting a skull hard. Then Batman gets up and looks to you.

"Y/n/n..? Are you ok?" He asks as he kneels beside you.

You just launch into him and hold close, feeling tears fall. He wraps his arms around you, holding you close and protectively.

After a few minutes you calm down and he takes you back to Wayne Manor.

Bruce gets into some flannel pajama pants and a tshirt, then he sits and holds you close. "It will be ok... you can stay here if you want... you're safe..."

You nod softly against his chest.

Over the next several months you spend time with Bruce, trying to get back to the way you felt before.

Before bf/n.

Before you had been so badly hurt.

Every moment you seemed to loose yourself, Bruce is there for you.

When your at your best, Bruce is with you as well.

You start to remember what it means to be cared for. It's a long journey ahead, but with support of Bruce you know you will be okay.
