27. Past?

Aisha's pov

I was ready to enter Ziya's cabin. Kabir and aarav bhai had pepped talked me into believing that I could do this, I just needed to show him that I was happy in a relationship now and he doesn't affect me or my relationship in any way.

I don't really know if I could do it, though. He still affected me if not this relationship.

I took a deep breath, closed me eyes with my hand on the doors handle and opened it. I plastered a confident smile on my face.

"Hi guys! Sorry I am late, blame it on traffic!"
I hugged everyone including vihaan.

"Hey vihaan! Long time ya."
He smiled unsurely. Ha! Caught him off-guard. The two men of my life are kinda genius! But they will never know I even thought that.

Obviously.

We all sat down and Ziya started explaining the necessary. My mind wandered into how meeting vihaan actually didn't affect me like I thought it would. I mean, I never loved him anyways. It was just attraction. I smiled to myself as I realised how kabir had completely changed me into someone I like more. A more confident, friendly and trusting person.

Saisha, Farhan, vihaan and I settled into the cafe. It had been long since any of us really met so we decided to spend some off- set time together.

"So Aisha! How's kabir?" Saisha smirked at me.

"He's amazing!" I laughed at her with a tinge of blush adorning my cheeks. "Anyways! How's life treating you guys?"

"Just fine. Congratulations on your movies though! Great work man. Loved them." Farhan said. I thanked him when vihaan genuinely said, "Your acting was amazing. You have grown so much in your acting. It's great to see the change ya"

"Thanks vihaan!" I smiled at him. Maybe this movie wasn't such a bad idea. We had moved on and we could behave like adults about the matter. The food came and my focus completely shifted.

Of course it did!

"You guys used to be pretty close many years ago naa? Still the same?" Saisha asked.

" we dated for a few months then. Then we mutually broke up. Better off as friends. But then life happened and we couldn't maintain it." I answered. The conversation really didn't make me feel hurt anymore. It made me smile. Not memories with vihaan, the fact that I wasn't hurting anymore.

"Oh really! I had no idea you two were in a relationship. That's great understanding between you two that you guys decided on doing this movie regardless." Farhan complimented.

Vihaan answered, "Yeah. I mean I didn't want things official. The breakup was my fault but I mean...it's all in the past, yeah?" I smiled encouragingly. "we moved on and it's great to see her with someone who treats her right!"

"Hey babe" I heard kabir say as I entered our house. We had moved in together a while back. we thought about how we couldn't spend much time together anyways because of our schedules and thought of living together so we could at least meet in the night.

"Hi kabir"I chirped.

"So? How'd it go?"

"It was great actually. Vihaan doesn't affect me anymore. It feels great to actually meet him after so long honestly. I mean think about it, it was a mistake about 6 years ago. Till when can I hold a grudge about something that doesn't even remotely matter to me."
