Sixty - Five

Noah's P.O.V.

I woke up at 5 a.m with a dry mouth, so I got up and walked to Ava's kitchen.

I took a bottle of water and took a few sips, I heard someone clear their throat causing me to look towards that way.

"Noah" "August" I said awkwardly, he came closer to me "Now that we are alone" He smirked, control yourself Noah, this is Ava's brother.

"I know what type of person you are, I see myself in you and I dont like it" He said quietly in my face "You dont like yourself?" I snorted.

"I need you to stay away from Avalynn" He snapped "What? No" "You dont like her, you are using her" He pushed me back "What? I'm not fucking using her you prick" I defended myself.

"Getting angry?" He smirked at me "I don't feel like doing this right now" I muttered taking my bottle walking off.

"Run, coward" His voice sounded, just as my father's sounded a couple of years ago when I ran out my house, I shivered stopping in tracks "Sooner or later she is going to break up with you so, I couldn't care less" He laughed.

"She will find out who you really are, and it will disgust her, trust me" He said, and touched my shoulder, I yanked away, making him corner me, God Ava where are you?

"What's wrong?" He smirked "Stop it" I hissed "Or what?" "Its taking every nerve in my body to not beat you up till you are laying unconscious on the floor" I snapped.

He laughed pushing me again, I was about to freak out but then I finally heard her voice "August what the fuck?" She yelled at him pulling him off of me, she looked at me straight in the eyes and nodded slowly.

"What is your problem? Are you out of your fucking mind!?" She yelled "Babe its okay" I assured her.

"Its not, we're out of here, and I wont be coming back" She said angrily storming back upstairs "Good going" I rolled my eyes at him and ran upstairs to her.

As I came into the room, she was already packing "I'm fine" I sighed pulling her to me by her hips, her back hit my chest "No, we are out of here" She muttered, I turned her around.

"Baby he is your brother, he is just looking out for you" I kissed her forehead, she relaxed hugging me "It's not fair, I know you didn't beat him for me" She whispered, I chuckled "Thank you" She softly said looking up.

I smiled pecking her lips "Let's go back to bed" I whispered closing the door, we laid there on the bed, and I knew she was asleep by her rythm of her breathing.

Ava's P.O.V.

When we woke back up, I walked downstairs with him, knowing August would be there.

I looked around the house, August was laying on the couch and my dad was nowhere to be seen, I rolled my eyes walking into the kitchen.

"What do you want for breakfast?" I asked Noah, he shrugged "I don't care, whatever you are having" He chuckled sitting down, I nodded taking some cereal and milk.

I poured my milk into my bowl and then put cereal in "Ew, you're that type of girl" He said scrunching his nose, I looked at him as he was doing just the opposite.

I laughed "How do you know how much is going to fall?" He chuckled "I just know" I laughed, he shook his head and began eating his cereal as I did the same.

"Get your ass of the couch and go do something productive" I heard my dads voice and the front door.

He walked in the kitchen "Goodmorning" He cheered "Goodmorning" I smiled and Noah did the same.

"August was being an asshole this morning to Noah" I said "Ava" Noah groaned "Get some sense into him or I'm out, I don't need anymore to go and threaten my boyfriend just because he is how he is, okay?" I said to my dad.

"Woah woah, what do you mean you are out? You dont have a flight till over a week" My dad said "I dont care, I will pay it with my own money" I threatened.

"I will talk to him, okay?" He sighed, I nodded and he walked out the kitchen "Why would you say that?" Noah mumbled "What do you mean?" I asked him confused.

"Christmas is for family, I dont want you to leave just because your brother worries about you, if anyone should leave it's me" Noah sighed putting his bowl in the dishwasher.

"No, I'm not leaving, and neither are you" I said doing the same as him, I looked in his eyes "I want you here, and if he doesn't respect that then I prefer to leave back to campus and have a nice Christmas there" I nodded.

"Without your mother, right?" He said quietly, I looked at him "This has nothing to do with her-" I started but he pulled me into a hug "I'll be here for you" He sighed.

I pushed him away "This has nothing to do with her, it has to do with you not getting along with my brother and I dont want you to think back at this year and think I ruined Christmas for you" I said crossing my arms.

"Baby, this is the best Christmas vacation I've had" He sighed taking my hands, I looked at him in the eyes.

"I'm so sorry for my brother, I dont know what he said or even did but I know how he can be and I'm just so sorry that you had to go through that" I mumbled.

"I've told you before, it really is okay, it's fine, he is your brother and he loves you so much that he wants to protect you at all costs and if that means saying whatever to her boyfriend so be it, I'm happy that he loves you so much" He said kissing my forehead.

I sighed hugging him tighter.
