Eighty - Six

Everything went in slow motion as I fell onto the ground, I winced as the pain in my butt began fainting and the pain in my cheek kicked in.

Noah turned around to look at what just happened.

His eyes were black, there was no other color than black, he was breathing heavy staring at me as his eyes became normal.

But something was different.

"Ma'am?" Someone called me "I'm Eric, a nurse, could you come with me?" He asked as I was staring at doctors surrounding his father.

"Can you walk?" He asked "Ava" Noah said quietly.

I quickly got up and walked away with Eric.

Next thing I was sitting in an ambulance as he was checking my pupils and my cheek.

"You know what happened?" He asked making me nod slightly "You want to press charges?" He asked.

"No, of course not" I cracked out "Avalynn!?" Rick's voice sounded as he ran towards me "Sir she needs space" He said.

I shook my head at him "It's okay" I smiled slightly "I'm so sorry" He said quietly.

"I'm fine" I nodded my head "Is she?" He asked the nurse, he nodded "Her pulse was a little bit accelerated and she is slightly in shock" He nodded.

"But she is fine?" He asked worriedly, making him nod.

"You want me to bring you home?" He asked "Not with h-him-" I whispered "No, he is with Isa, I can't see his face right now" He said quietly.

I got up slowly "Don't blame him" I said softly "How can't I? His father is in coma due blood loss, and then he hits you and-" He took a deep breath.

I nodded as we got to his car, I got in the front seat.

He hit me.

I got in a middle of a fight and he hit me.

"Why did he start hitting anyways?" I said quietly "Ava... they checked up the little boy and woman because Noah was yelling that he was abusing them... and they had bruises everywhere" He said quietly.

"Oh my Gosh... he didn't change" I said shocked "He was right all along" I whispered looking out the window.

"But violence is not the answer, he should know that by now" He sighed, making me nod "I know, but please don't blame him, I got in middle of the fight so it's basically my fault" I nodded.

"Hey, this isn't your fault, don't you dare to think that it is" He sighed looking at me and then back at the road.

"You make him better, you know" He said randomly "Since he is with you, he is such a different person, and now with my sickness he takes such good care of me and I would've never expected for him to come with me to spend my last months in our hometown" He said softly.

I smiled a bit "So thank you for that, know that I'll be forever grateful" He whispered with a small smile on his face.

"Are you allowed to drive with your sickness?" I asked him randomly "Between us two? No" He chuckled "But don't worry I have it under control" He assured me.

The rest of the long car ride was long, and when he finally dropped me off at my dorm, I thanked him and immediately got in locking the door.

I took a deep breath and instantly bursted out crying.

Noah was right all along, he must be in pain knowing that that little boy and woman went through the same thing as him.

But hitting him was not the best option, and it got out of hand.

I don't think I can stand now seeing him.

There was a loud knock on the door "Ava? It's me" Isa called, I opened the door and hugged her tightly crying on her shoulder.

"Ava.." She said sadly hugging me back "I'm so sorry" She whispered "It's not your fault" I cried.

"Please stop crying, I'm going to kick his ass" She said making me giggle.

"Don't" I whispered sitting down on my bed "I don't know what hurts the most, the fact that he lost control and he hit me or the fact that he was right all along and that he was probably hurting" I  whispered.

"Ava, don't feel bad for him, I know you love him but he hit you, he never meant to but he did it" "It was an accident" "So?" "It was an accident Isa he didnt mean to do it" I raised my voice slightly.

"What if next time you fight him he has another accident and takes another swing at you?" She raised her voice aswell.

"Stop! No, Noah would never" I snapped "You sure thought that tonight too" She huffed "It was my fault, I broke up his fight with his father, I got in the middle of something I shouldn't"

"Do you see yourself? Stop blaming yourself!" She groaned getting up.

"He freaking controls you! Every move you make! He played you with his friends! He insults you, he makes you cry! He is toxic!" She yelled at me.

"I love him, and he loves me" I whispered.

"He doesn't deserve you, and you are too blind to see it, you'll see it soon enough" She huffed.

"I'm going to go now, leave you to think for a while, I love you Ava and I'm really sorry for what happened, but it's unfair for you that you blame this on yourself even though its my brother that is fucked up in the head" She said before closing the door and leaving me with my thoughts.
