I watched as lei grabbed the kids and left without saying a word to anyone. I don't t blame her honestly I somewhat understand how she feels, I lost multiple babies but unlike me lei got to hold and bond with her child he was actually here. Everything just seems so surreal I can't believe outta all kids Erion the sweetheart of the group.
"Ma look erion on tv" Layia said snapping me outta my thoughts Laiah walked out the living room crying
"Damn ... this crazy" Leland said pacing the floor I sat next to Layia pulling her on my lap squeezing her tight not only did she just lose her cousin she also lost her mom.
"Ma you hurting me silly" she laughed trynna unwrap my arms I shook my head snuggling my head in her neck I was trying to fight them but my tears came anyway. "Aw what's wrong ma ? You eat to much cake?" She asked rubbing my stomach I smiled as she wiped my tears you can always count on Layia to make you smile.
"Leland when are you going to tell her?"
"Tell her what"
"Lacy" I mouthed he sighed sitting on the couch next to us
"I don't know how to tell you this so imma just say it..comere baby" he said holding his arms out she climbed off my lap going to Leland's lap "yo mom is dead and so is erion" he rushed out Layia looked between us confused
"Mmcht you can't just say it like that..Layia you know why all the police here?"
"Yes something happened to erion ..Ej told me he was sleep" I nodded
"Okay that partially right .. Remember when we made everyone to come in the house" she nodded "Erion and Ej didn't follow directions and Erion got hurt and passed away from his sores" she nodded "do you know what passed away means?"
"Nope" she laughed
"It means they're in heaven with god..remember how daddy was telling you where your name from an..
"Layia Erion and your mom is dead you not gon be able to see them anymore..damn was that so hard Mori?" Leland yelled getting up putting Layia on the couch
"I can't see my mommy no more? But why" she asked with tears in her eyes "did Dylan do it?"
"We don't know that's why the police here" I said pulling her in my lap rubbing her back she shook her head
"But I saw him ma" she cried I nodded rubbing her back rocking her
"I'll be back" Leland said walking to the door
"Wait where you going?"
"I'll be right back Mori damn I just gotta handle something" he said slamming the front door
"Ma I can't see them no more forreal?" Layia asked looking up at me I shook my head
" I'm sorry baby but no they're with god now" I smiled putting my head in hers I closed my eyes rocking us back and forth. Today was supposed to be a special day for Layia and it ended up being a tragic day for us all.
Lord forgive me but as much as I don't wanna think this, I think all this could've been prevented if Leland would've just listened to his uncle instead of tryna prove a point.
I picked Layia up carrying her to her room I checked on Laiah first and she was knocked out sleep across the guests bedroom bed snoring and all.
"She must was really sleepy" Layia laughed I nodded agreeing with her.
"Go brush your teeth babes" I said putting her down I laid her out some pjs for her to change into. "It don't take that long" I said going in the bathroom seeing her playing in the water "hurry up little girl it's time to go to bed" she nodded still playing in the water "Za'layia you're done" I said turning the water off
