Jo

I haven't  been so utterly and completely drawn out of the real world until now. Such a simple gesture lead to a thousand feelings.

Everyone in the house had fled, and by all means, I was perfectly okay with that. Luke had sighed in happiness, though he left our now-fixed bedroom door shut, as if leaving it open would hold a lot more meaning then it should.

I sat myself cross legged on the end of the bed, intensely watching Luke who strode back and forth, back and forth, dragging his black socks against the tan carpet. He would sigh every so often, though I didn't ask why.

I just sat and watched.

It was times like these where you truly realize your feelings for them. Something so simple as texting, reading a book, or in my case, watching a paranoid Luke walk back and forth a pale looking room.

His hair was a mess from the amount of times his hand ran through it, his cheeks were flustered. Half of his suit was laying on the floor not far from me, leaving him in his dress pants and a half buttoned up white dress shirt, and in this simple, non related moment, I knew I was in love with Luke.

"Are you a person who peels a bandaid off slowly or just rips it off all at once?" Luke seemed to be slightly annoyed. A deep sigh escaped his lips just as his hand ran through his hair, though he still managed to glance in my direction, the faintest smile growing on his lips. "I rip it off all at once."

This time I smiled.

"What does that have to do with anything, Jo?" Luke questioned, again running his hand through his messy quiff. A small laugh slipped through Luke's plump lips, and I couldn't help but smile farther. "You can't force love." I sighed, Luke now intently watching me, as if what I was about to say would be the most important, interesting piece of information.

"It's there or it isn't. If it's not there, you have to be able to admit it. If it is there, you've got to let them know." Like earlier, Luke began shuffling his feet along the carpet, this time towards me. His knees cracked on his way down, his large, cold hands pressed against my knees. His large, blue eyes pierced into mine, and I couldn't stop my self from quickly pressing my lips to his.

"I'm in love with you." He smiled, and his smile grew half the size of his face before he began to laugh. "I'm in love with you too," his face grew warm. "But I don't see what band aids have to do with this, babe." I smiled, my hands falling from his cheeks and onto his shoulders. "I don't know." I shrugged, and for a short moment, the room was filled with nothing but a mix of Luke and I's laughs.

"I'm done." Luke's raspy voice cut off the angelic chimes of our laughter, and I won't deny my heart sunk deeply into my stomach. "I'm done. I don't need anything more out of life." His cold hand cupped my cheek, his thumb caressing just under my left eye, where a tear was about to make its way out. "I have you, and that's enough."

A short, sweet kiss was shared between Luke and I. His hands roamed my body, mine tangled in his hair, his tongue was soft against mine, and his lips roughly dug against mine. I was in aw. I was loving every second of it.

What should be a short and simple kiss turned around quickly, the second his hand fumbled with the zipper of my dress. "Let's run away." The room grew hotter then it was before, and my hands fumbled with the last button on his shirt before falling freely, my palms growing sweaty. "What?"

If I was correct, seconds ago I was exchanging feelings with the boy I should hate, then proceeded to make out, and next thing you know I'm getting asked to run away from everything- again. I've ran from a lot of things, but this, this was a whole new story.

"It's crazy," he hushed."I'm crazy about you." His words barely able to escape his lips due to his hushed tone and how fast he was speaking. "This is crazy, I sound crazy, because you make me crazy. Let's run away." A small smile tugged at my lips, and I didn't bother to hold it back.

"What about," Luke's thumb pressed lightly against my lips, before the palm ran over the surface. "They don't matter. If we get far enough, they won't find us. I don't need them, not anymore."

A billion thoughts ran through my head. All irrational, bizarre, yet they all made perfect sense. As Luke's hand fell my own rose to his face, once again cupping his cheek. "I love you." I whispered, my eyes briefly falling to the diamond ring that took up most of my ring finger.

It only took a brief moment for Luke to lift me easily off the bed, his lips pressing a soft kiss to my lips. Almost instantly, the second he let me down he began opening the needed drawers, collecting our things and throwing them into the bed.

I couldn't help but watch for a moment, mesmerized like I had been earlier. "I love you, too." Luke glanced back, a brief second our eyes met before he continued with the drawers. "I will love you until I die. And if there's a life after that, I'll love you then."
