"What now?"
Jeno asked, leaning against Chenle's office desk.

"What do we even have left? Barely any clues- they are of no help"
Jaemin said, shaking his head.

"Let's wait..."
Chenle began, making all of them turn to face him.

"What?"
"We don't have another choice"
"So? You'll let another innocent citizen die in his hands??"
"Then tell me a way out"
"I...I don't know"
"He's right Donghyuck. We have to wait, there's nothing we can do"

Chenle was about to speak but his phone rang interrupting him.
Picking the call, he walked out of his office to speak with the person.

"What are you doing Mr. Zhong?!"
"Sir we have been working on it"
"Right. Two crimes under your watch proves it otherwise"
"Sir, we need time- he's not an easy catch"
"Stop with your stupid excuses! If you don't catch hold of the killer by next week you'll be fired, get that in you mind"
"Yes sir.."
Chenle shut his eyes close frustrated before throwing his phone onto the ground with all his anger that piled up in him.

"Fuck it"
Chenle hissed under his breath- his hands gripping the roots of his hair- vexed.

"Hyung..?"
Chenle turned around recognizing the voice.
"We don't have time left Jisung, we must find him"
Chenle said- sternly.

"I know Hyung.. we should've listened to her. Performing autopsy would've made it easier"
"Stop talking about her Jisung"
"Hyung you're too blinded by that pride of yours to realize about her"
"Get lost if you're here to talk about that women"
Jisung scoffed out in disbelief at his words.

"She willingly came to help us and we now lost her.. cause of you Hyung, you"
"Shut up Jisung, don't cross the line just because I am not saying anything"
"Not saying anything? You hurt her and she won't be back again"

"Shut up, know your place"
"You don't realize how your words hurt others Hyung- all you know is to hurt people who care about you"
Those words infuriated Chenle and his fist went grabbing onto Jisung's shirt making him stumble on his feet- absolutely fuming.

"Solve the case on your own then, I don't fucking care!"
Jisung yanked Chenle's hand off his shirt- dashing out of the station leaving Chenle alone.

"Yena, Miri, Jihae, Dahee and Taehee- your topic is Electrochemistry"
Mr. Jeon said and nodding the five gathered closer, sitting down facing each other to discuss about the project.

"So... who's gathering information?"
"Yena!"
"Editing the information?"
"Yena!"
"Proof read?"
"Yena!"
"Shut up Mi"
"Kidding babe"

"Yena you are the only one who's smart in here... we need your help for getting an A in this assignment"
Taehee said and they all nodded in agreement.

"Fine...but the due is next week, when do we start?"
"Tomorrow!"
"Who's house?"
"Who lives alone in here?"
Dahee asked and they all shared a look- everyone except Yena shook their head.

"Where do you live Yena?"
Jihae asked.
"Ulsan"
Hearing her, all of them froze- eyes wide in horror as they stood up ready to leave while coming up with excuses.

"I'm busy tomorrow"
"Me too. It's too far from my house, sorry"
"I'm sick, bye"

"Guys I- hey! Lis- But why??"
"No one's ready to come to that crime filled locality Yena, sorry"
Jihae said and Yena slumped in disappointment.

"You need to move out of there babe, it's dangerous"
"I know.. I told you I can't"
"Are you getting back home before 10?"
Yena shook her head in response.

"Then how is he not bothering you?"
"I'm taking a different way back home- he doesn't know"
"Just quit that part time job and get back home safely. It's more important than money Yena"
"I've my own reasons Mi.. I need to earn for my family"
Miri placed her hand on Yena's shoulder, patting it assuringly.

"Tell your parents about it, they could help"
"I can't make my da— them worry, no way"
Yena sighed out, knowing she had to be extremely cautious cause of where she lived- every moment of each passing day felt treacherous for her.
