You're such a stupid Yena.

"What have you done?"
She mumbled to herself, annoyed, as she stepped out of the elevator and skipped to her apartment.

"You should've said something"
She sighed out before entering inside her apartment after two weeks.

"I better apologize"
She gave herself a nod as she talked to herself.

Worn out from all the events since morning, the moment she laid on her bed, her eyes close shut and she drifted off to sleep.

"What? Yena left? Really?"
"You let her?"
Chenle shrugged in response, not wanting to speak about that topic.

"Can we talk about the case?"
"No"
Donghyuck shook his head before they all looked at Mark who spoke.

"How could you just let Yena go?"
"What do you expect me to do?"
"You told you'll protect her didn't you?"
"So? She left my house willingly"
Chenle rolled his eyes, remembering their conversation last night.

"But why? All of a sudden?"
"What exactly did she say Hyung?"
"What's all of this stupid talk for?"
"Stupid talk? Boy were trying to help your love"
"What? Don't—"
"Just admit already, you like her"
"No I don't"
"Don't deny"
Chenle paused- his mouth forming words he felt deep down in his heart but he refrained from letting it out.

"Maybe she feels guilty for depending on us..?"
"Guilty? She was never a burden to us thoug—"
"Right and her response goes 'we're strangers'"
Renjun snorted out a laughter hearing Chenle's response.

"So that's what triggered you?"
"You know what happened to her parents right?"
"Yes but it isn't your fault Hyung"
"Still, I only wanted to protect her cause she lost their love nothing else"
Chenle grabbed the file on his desk before looking up at Jisung who spoke.

"When are you meeting Yena's dad?"
"Should I?"
"What if he knows something we don't? You better talk to him"
Chenle gave him a nod before signing on the paper.

"Jeno you're really going bald dude"
Jaemin commented making every laugh except Chenle who was confused by their words.

"What?"
"He told he would go bald if you ever fell in love"
"Shut up"
Chenle shook his head at their words, looking at the bundles of files on his desk, sighing out at the amount of work he had pending cause of this one case.

"You do like her don't you?"
Chenle remained silent, placing his hands in his pocket and their eyes widened.

"So is that a yes??"
Chenle simply shrugged in response.

"He didn't deny.."
Just then a knock was heard on the office door and they swung their heads at the noise, shocked to see the person.

"Yena?!"
"When did you come?"
Yena shrugged, stepping inside Chenle's office cabinet while she spoke.

"When Renjun went 'Jeno you're really going bald dude'"
Chenle's eyes widened by a fraction- his heart pounding unknown whether she had heard their conversation or not.

"You heard everything?"
Yena gave Donghyuck a quick small nod, biting on her lower lip to suppress her smile that threatened to show up before clearing her throat and speaking up.

Mark noticed Chenle tensing up and decided to divert the topic.
"Why are you here?"
"I found my lost college ID"
Yena showed them her ID that the killer had taken on the other day.

"All of a sudden?"
"Strange right? I know"
"Where?"
"It was placed on my class desk when I arrived there, I'm not sure how it got there"
Chenle furrowed his brows but soon understood everything.

"The killer is out.."
"What?"
"Watch the case get closed soon"
