Chapter 34

The city keeps getting higher and higher. And my anxiety kicks in. Heights.

A robot I didnt notice came at me, but I was swept away quickly.

"Hello." Pietro says.

"Thanks." I say.

"Well it's not a problem. But I think we should get back out there." He says.

"I cant run as fast." I joke.

He laughs. "Well then hold on tight." He says picking me up.

He runs through the streets, and we work together to take down robots.

He stops during an alleyway and we both catch our breaths. He sets me down. And he smiles at me.

"You are good." He says.

I smile at him. "You're not that bad either." I say.

Then we both hear Steve through our ear piece.

"The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. You get hurt. Hurt them back. You get killed....walk it off."

Pietro and I look at each other. Then he grabs me and we run off.

"Lex. Let's find Wanda." Pietro says.

"Of course. She is your sister." I say, and he speeds off. I help by taking down the robots.

"We're not clear. We're definitely not clear." Steve says.

"Pietro we need to hurry to help them."

"Ok."

We reach Wanda and Clint. He pick up Wanda, and we run off.

"Keep up, old man." Pietro yells, and I laugh.

We get to the battlefield and I start using my powers to take down robots. So does Wanda.

I have an idea but it may be stupid. "Wanda! Take my hand!" I yell. She grabs my hand I a focus on her powers instead of her energy.

She looks in fascination as I take some of her powers. The red moving from her hand all the way up my arm.

I let go, and wow. I have her powers. She still has hers. I smile.

"Now that. Is cool." She said, and I smile.

I found my my mind to take energy, while I physically use my hands like Wanda. Ripping them apart.

"You know, your powers are much cooler than mine." I yell, and I hear her laugh."

We clear the battlefield and I help the people get into a building.

I walk outside. To see the Helicarrier coming into view and I smile.

Pietro runs up beside me, and I smile at him.

"Fury, you son of a bitch." Steve says.

"Cap said a bad word!" I yell, and he throws pebble at me.

" this is this SHIELD?" Pietro asks.

I see pods leave the Helicarrier.

"Its what it supposed to be." I reply.

He looks at me and smiles. "This is not that bad." He says, and now I smile.

I run to help people into the pods.

"This way!" I yell.

I help people get into the pods and once it was full it takes off.

Pietro picks me up and I end up in a worn down building that is full of robots.
