Tatiana

We just arrived at Lyrie's house, me and the girls. We brought foods din para show ng gratitude even if tita insisted na hindi na raw kailangan.

“Their house is cute and it's really nice, ” I heard Debby said as we enter their gate.

I nodded in agreement. “Mhmm. Wait 'till you see the inside.”

Tita made the house look so elegant even if it's not that big and there's not much of things inside.

“Ate Tatiana!” John, who was surprised to see us, exclaimed. I smile and nod at him, introducing him to the girls too.

“Sabihan ko lang si mama mga ate. ” He dashed inside and nauna naman ako maglakad papasok.

I wonder if Lyrie's still asleep.

Last night kasi, after I pulled her, we spent the night gazing at the sky as she sang me a song. We also joked around and talked bago kami bumalik sa party mismo.

“Andiyan na pala kayo! Pasok mga anak,” tita said, ushering us in.

When my feet hit their tiled floor, everyone started singing. “Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, happy birthday! ”

I stood there stunned at their effort to surprise me. Lyrie is even carrying a cake in her hands, walking closer to me.

  “Omg! W-what is happening?”

  “Kinakantahan ka, duh. ”

I gave Lyrie a glare but she just laughed and walk closer to me.

  Happy Birthday Tatiana,

  Ang tanda mo na.

I smile at my name, but frown a little at the last part. Why on earth did they say that?

“Pasensya ka na, anak, itong si Lyrie kasi ang bumili n'yan. Napagtripan pa magsulat ng ganyan,” tita said, glaring at her grinning daughter.

Lyrie stopped to stand beside me. Happy Birthday ulit! Wish at blow na.”

I wish for happiness and clarity

After the surprise, we all decided to eat na. Ally gave out plates and John naman sa mga utensils.

We sat down at the table. Me, then Lyrie, then my friends, tapos sa kabila naman ay ang family nila Lyrie.

Tita, thank you po talaga for inviting us,” said Debby, who's still eating nonstop.

“Thank you so much for all of this, tita. You don't need to do this but thank you for everything po, ” I said, still surprised that they actually held a small party for me.

“Nako! Wala 'yun mga anak. Salamat din sa mga dala ninyo. Alam ninyo si Lyrie talaga nag suhestiyon sa amin neto, at timing na hindi kami nakadalo sa birthday mo kaya itinuloy nalang namin.”
