When you woke up, George was still laying next to you, which was unusual during a race weekend. He usually would wake up early, work out and make his way to the track. You turned on your side and look at George, who was still sleeping. You checked the time and saw that Aleix, his trainer, has called you multiple time.

'George, you have to wake up,' you say as you're trying to wake him up.

'Let me sleep,' he mumbles.

You frown. George who says on a race day that he wants to sleep? That can't be good. 'Babe, you have to go to the track.'

A sigh rolled over his lips as he slowly opened his eyes and looked at you.

You could just see that something wasn't right. 'Are you okay?'

'I'm fine,' he mumbled and started coughing.

'You're not fine. Are you sick? Why didn't you tell me?' You said as you laid your hand off his forehead, which was clearly warm.

'I'm fine. I'm going to take a shower and then head out,' he says and gets out of the bed. You quickly got yourself ready as George was taking a shower. There was no way that you were leaving him today. When you were almost done, your phone rang again.

'Aleix, morning,' you said as you picked up the phone.

'Where the hell is your boyfriend? He's two hours late!' Alex practically yelled at you.

'I know. He overslept. He isn't feeling too great.'

'I'm fine!" you heard George yell from the bathroom, but breaking out in a cough.

You rolled your eyes. 'He's in the shower right now. We'll come to the track right away if that's okay?'

'Yeah, we'll work out there. I'll let the team know about how he's feeling. Let's just see how he feels later on in the day to see if he can drive,' Aleix said.

'Sounds like a good plan to me. I'll see you soon. Bye.'

'Bye Y/N.'

You hung up the phone and grabbed the last items you needed for the day. George quickly got ready, but he was slower than usual. After he got his stuff, you made your way to the track.

When you finally arrived at the Williams facility, everything went pretty quickly. Because you were two hours behind on schedule, everything needs to happen faster and quicker. You could notice that George was not up for it and wanted to lay down and do nothing, but he didn't say a word about it, nor did he complain. He followed Aleix to the garage, while you put your stuff down in the diversroom. You sat down for a moment and scrolled through Instagram, posting something in your story and then you made your way to the garage.

From a distance, you looked at how George was talking to his engineers. You could see that the information was not getting through to him. He was sweating so much, and he was just standing. It wasn't a very hot day, so he shouldn't be sweating this much.

'He doesn't look great,' you heard someone say.

You looked up and saw that Claire Williams was standing next to you. 'Yeah, he looks worse than this morning,' you mumbled.

'Is he able to drive?' Claire asked you.

'I don't know. He'll say that he's just fine but look at him. He's sick. Are you going to let him drive?'

'We've not made a decision yet. We were planning on letting him getting checked out by one of the nurses. We don't want him to be driving when he's not well, but we do want him driving.'

You nodded, understanding what Claire meant. If it was up to you, you would chain him to the bed until he was better, but he had a job to do...

It was almost time to start the race. George looked as pale as a ghost. Somehow the nurse cleared him for the race an hour ago. George said that he was fine. He did have a temperature, but there was nothing much to worry about. He didn't feel nauseous, his sight was good and so was his reaction, so he was cleared to drive. You walked over to George, who was almost ready to in the car.

'Are you sure you want to do this? They'll understand if you won't drive today,' you said as you looked at George.

'I'm okay,' he mumbled, but that didn't have you convinced. He looked so tired and sick, and you just wanted to take him home.

'Just be careful,' you said and kissed his cheek.

'I will.' George puts on the hans and his helmet. You can see in his eyes that he's not up for this. He makes his way to the car, but he doesn't get in. He stands beside the car, grabbing the halo. You can see his grin tighten before it loosens and you see him falling down to the ground.

'George!' you yelled and rushed over to him.

Aleix quickly took off the helmet. George is laid unconscious on the floor. My god. They should've never let him get ready.

'He's probably way too hot,' you said.

People from the team already hand over wet towels to cool George down, while you to wake him up.

It has been 10 minutes, but it felt like hours when George finally opened his eyes. Totally disorientated, he looked around. He stopped when his eyes met yours. 'What happened?' he mumbled.

'You passed out because you're sick, but still wanted to drive,' you said as you helped him sit up.

George let out a sigh of frustration before he looked at his team. 'I'm sorry guys, I really thought I could do this,' he said.

'We're glad you passed out before you got in the car and not on the track,' one of the engineers says.

'Go back to the hotel and let your girlfriend take care of you. Let us know how you're feeling tomorrow,' Claire said.

George nodded. 'Will do.'

You stood up and helped George stand up again. Along with Aleix, you made your way back to the Williams facility, where George changed back in his own clothes in the driversroom. Alex gave you some instructions to speed up the healing process, and then you and George made your way back to the hotel.

George laid down on the bed and sighed. 'I hate being sick.'

'Is there anything I can do?' you asked.

'Cuddles?' George asked and held up the blanket for you. You kicked off your shoes and laid down next to him on the bed.

'Next time, when you're sick, just tell me. You scared me to death when you fainted,' you mumble as you crawl against George.

'I'll do that.'

'Good. And now go to sleep, because you need it. You look like shit,' you said, but a slight smile grew on your face.

'Thank you very much,' he said sarcastically but laughed.
