I just posted a new story! It's a Young Adult book. It would mean a lot to me if you want to take a look! I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Your boyfriend and Formula One driver Lando Norris was currently in Germany for another Grand Prix. You were watching the race from home because you couldn't be there because of the whole Covid-19 that has been going on. Because you lived with Lando, you stayed home as much as you could and tried to be as safe as possible whenever you went out, not wanting to risk to get covid. Because if you had covid or been in contact with someone, Lando couldn't be racing and you didn't want to get the blame for that. So you stayed at home and watched the race from there.

Lando was now doing an interview with his teammate Carlos Sainz for SkySports.

'Lando, you recently let the world know that you have a girlfriend. How has everything been ever since then?' the interviewer asked.

A smile grew on Lando his face. 'It has been good, yeah. Not much has changed, only that the fans know. But it has been fun.'

'Do you miss her a lot? She can't be here because of covid, can she?'

'No, she sadly she can't. She's probably at home watching right now. She has been so supportive of everything that has been going on in this pandemic. She only goes out of the house for the things that she needs to do, everything else she tries to do from home like working and ordering the groceries if that's available because she doesn't want me to get covid. She's scared that I won't be able to race then, which is really supportive and I love her for that. She can't be here, and we're away a lot of the time, so yeah, I miss her, a lot actually.' His expression changed from happy to a little sad. It broke your heart to see him like that, but it also made your heart grow even bigger because of what he just said.

'Carlos, what do you think of Lando, his girlfriend?'

'Oh boy, Y/N is amazing. She's a really good cook actually. When Lando introduced us, she cooked, and it was delicious. She's really nice, and she makes Lando happy,' Carlos answered.

'About that...' Lando mumbled. Oh boy, he is not going to do this... 'We ordered the food and pretend to cook it,' Lando confessed, which made the interviewer laugh.

Carlos smile faded away like snow in the sun. 'No, you didn't! She cooked it! I saw it.'

Lando shook his head. 'She was heating it up. She can't cook at all. We order in all the time because I can't cook either.'

'Mate... you... I don't know what to say,' Carlos said, actually being speechless.

You wanted to make a good impression on Lando his teammate so you said you would cook. You were starting to prepare the meal, only it burned, and you hated it. So you ordered food and pretended to cook it yourself. It didn't even look real, but Carlos fell for it, and now the whole world knew that you and Lando fooled Carlos into thinking that you would cook.

The interview went on for a few more questions, and then they were done.

You grabbed your phone and texted Lando how fun the interview was. A few minutes later, he FaceTimed you.

'Hi, the interview was really fun to watch,' you said.

'Thanks,' Lando mumbled. He sat down in his driver's room and took off his jacket.

'What's wrong?' you asked him, noticing that something was up.

'I just miss you. When I got the question if I missed you, it just made me realize how much I miss having you around me. I miss waking up with you in the morning or go to bed with you,' Lando said as he looked down. You could see a small tear rolling down his cheek, which he quickly wiped away.

'I miss you too,' you said. The worst part of dating a Formula One driver during a pandemic was this one. You couldn't travel with him, which meant that you couldn't be together. This week it was even harder because the team had decided not to go home from the last week and travel straight to the next Grand Prix. The last time that you saw Lando in person was now almost two weeks ago. It has been the longest you had ever been apart, so it was no wonder that you were both missing each other.

'It's just a few more days, and then you're back home,' you said to try and cheer him up. After this race he had a week off, so he would be home for the entire time.

'I know, it just sucks right now,' he sighed.
