"Thank you for meeting me here today"
Ella Manoban smiles as she invites her friend from high school to fill the vacant seat before her.
"It's no big deal, Ella," Elaine Park replies. "It's been quite a while that we last saw one another"
"Work has made us estranged, isn't it?" Ella jokes, gaining a nod from Elaine. They both go on talking and discussing several matters before fixing their shaking their hands firmly.
"I know her reputation isn't that good. But I would appreciate if you can spare her a chance"
"I will" Elaine sighs. "I just hope you know what you are asking, Ella"
"Yeah. Hopefully this is the best for us"
"I have to go, Ella" Elaine peeks at the watch around her wrist. "See you later?"
"Alright. Thank so much for coming, Elaine"
Elaine nods and Ella watches the lady disappear into her BMW before grabbing her phone, her hand itching to send a text to her only daughter.
Me: I found someone. At least.
Lisa: Thank you, mom
Me: Home for dinner?
Lisa: I will
Me: Okay. Love you
Lisa: Love you too, Mom.
