-Vale.-

The Kingdom of Vale had seen many changes since the Kaiju came, though not without its black points. The Siege of Vale being chief among them. More Huntsmen and Huntresses died in that massacre than anywhere else.

Godzilla and Mothra were in Vale just taking a stroll through town. A lot of the city had been overgrown thanks to Godzilla's Fission Purge during the Siege, and the resulting plant life had made it difficult for the people to get their homes free.

But the Emerald Forest was a different matter. Many people had never seen the forest as lush and vibrant as it was now.

Salem still held fear towards Godzilla. The burns she got from his Fission Purge had not fully healed yet, and likely never would.

Against Godzilla, there was a very real chance that Salem would die. Permanently.

But, for as strong as the King of the Monsters was, he was no god, and Salem had used the past year to devise a plan to bring about the end of the Kaiju.

She learned that for all their intelligence, the Kaiju were still creatures of instinct, and would suffer no rivals to them.

But that wasn't to say that Godzilla wasn't a normal creature. She had seen firsthand how resilient he was. His regeneration ability only added to that resilience.

Still, Godzilla was a clear threat. One she had to deal with or the risk of true death would still loom over her.

Elsewhere in Vale, Ruby, Weiss, Yang, and Blake were currently on a double date. Team RWBY were at a pub that Yang frequented, but wasn't particularly liked.

Still, that didn't stop her from coming back, but her sister, teammate and girlfriend were still sceptical.

Rodan and Muto were out patrolling the city outskirts for Hybrid activity, seeing as how they practically owned the forest. The Grimm that used to inhabit the Emerald Forest were either killed and devoured by the Hybrids, or killed in Godzilla's Fission Purge.

The two spotted a Crawler eating a dead Behemoth. It was bigger than the other Crawlers the two had found, but nothing too serious.

"So, who gets this one?" Rodan asked.

"You got the last three. This one's mine." Muto replied, before she charged the Hybrid.

The Crawler saw Muto and let a low hiss escape its throat, but the Kaiju were undeterred by the threat.

Rodan fired his Uranium Beam at the Hybrid forcing it to dodge, but Muto slammed her charged fist into the Crawlers face.

Muto then grabbed the Hybrid and slammed it into the ground before stomping on its head, crushing its skull.

"No more eating for you." She said.

"See? I told you this place was nice." Yang said.

"It's so loud in here!" Blake yelled. "How do you stand it!?"

"And don't think we haven't noticed the looks we're getting." Weiss added sternly.

"Why couldn't we go to a nicer place, Yang?" Ruby asked. "N-Not that this place isn't nice, but... well, clubs aren't my favorite place."

Yang was about to answer when their drinks arrived. The four spent a bit more time at the club before they decided to leave because Blake was getting a migraine.

"You know how Godzilla and the other Kaiju hate bullheads?" She asked. "I'm feeling that way about clubs."

"It was a nice thought, Yang. But we're not party people like you." Weiss said. "But, we can find a place we can eat. I'm buying."

The four headed for the nearby noodle shop to get something to eat. They had asked for the house special along with a bowl of noodles and fish for Blake.

The total was about a thousand Lien, but Weiss managed to pay for it. As they ate however, the news was turned on.

[This is live footage from the village of Menagerie, where just days ago the village and it's people were attacked by the Kaiju known as King Ghidorah.]

Blake nearly choked on her food when she heard Ghidorah's name and she looked at the screen.

And saw her home razed to the ground.

[Ghidorah arrived here without warning and attacked Menagerie, which as you can see has been devastated by the monster's destructive power. Soldiers from Atlas arrived on the scene and searched for survivors among the rubble.]

The names of several deceased Faunus appeared on the screen. Many of them Blake didn't know, but two appeared that caught her attention.

Ghira and Kali Belladonna.

Blake's eyes watered as tears threatened to fall. Her mother and father were listed among the confirmed dead along with a hundred others.

"I think I've lost my appetite..." She said, her voice breaking a bit.

Ruby put a hand on Blake's shoulder and pulled her friend into a hug.

"I'm so sorry, Blake." She whispered.

Blake couldn't hold back her tears anymore and broke down crying, getting Ruby's signature red cloak wet, but the young Huntress didn't care.

Yang and Weiss joined the hug as Blake sobbed openly now.

"I saw the news." Godzilla said, getting the group's attention. "Blake. Words will never be enough to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. But I promise you, Ghidorah will pay for their deaths. Come. Let's go home."

The group headed back to Beacon with their heads low. They were having such a good date too.

And there we go. So for anyone wondering, the title of this chapter translated is "Sudden and Cruel Tragedy." So yeah, Ghidorah attacked and destroyed Menagerie and killed Blake's parents and a whole bunch of other people. I've always pictured Ghidorah as a monster even for a Kaiju. I like to think that's been showcased pretty well in this story. First with Raven's people, now the people of Menagerie. But as always, comment, rate, and leave advice so I can improve. Next time, Godzilla battles a wannabe goddess. Have a good night guys.
