Chapter Sixty: The King of the Skies

Rodan screeched as he charged at Destoroyah, dodging an Oxygen Destroyer Beam and slamming into it, causing it to fall to the ground.

But the King of the Skies wasn't done as he slammed into Destoroyah again, sending it into the sky, before slamming into it again and sending it flying into a mountain range.

Destoroyah roared in aggravation as it charged its Oxygen Destroyer Beam but Rodan was already in front of it and slammed it into the mountain it had impacted.

The Oxygen Destroyer Fiend glared at Fire Rodan and wiped blue blood off its maw. It then smirked. If speed was the issue, Destoroyah would wait for him to tire out.

Rodan hovered as he glared at Destoroyah, breathing heavily. Already, he was feeling the drain of his Fire form, and while it does make him faster, he can't keep it up for long.

Rodan caught his breath and sped towards Destoroyah again, going fast enough to break the sound barrier as a loud boom echoed for miles around and the landscape below him was destroyed in the gale he generated.

He slammed into Destoroyah again, and circled around to hit it again, but Destoroyah had learned his attack patterns.

The Oxygen Destroyer Fiend dodged Rodan and slammed its tail into Rodan's back, sending him into the ground.

Destoroyah then gave the Kaiju equivalent of a laugh as Rodan struggled to stand up, but stand he did.

The Fire Demon launched into the air again and charged Destoroyah who got ready to counter, but Rodan then fired his Uranium Beam at Destoroyah that hit it in the chest, which made it stagger a bit.

It was just enough time for Rodan slam onto it again and take its arm off.

Suddenly he was grabbed by Destoroyah, who looked at Rodan with anger. Now he was in trouble.

Destoroyah slammed Rodan into the ground repeatedly, before it clasped its pincers around his neck. His Fire had basically extinguished now as Rodan gasped for air.

Destoroyah smirked triumphantly, before it was hit in the back by something that made it stagger forward, and drop Rodan.

Destoroyah turned around to see Kiryu standing behind it, smoke coming from the rail guns on its arms.

[We got this, Rodan. Get some rest.] Yang said through Kiryu's PDA.

Rodan, now in his Faunus form, groaned.

"Couldn't argue with you... even if I wasn't about to pass out." Was all he said before consciousness failed him.

Destoroyah growled at the tin replica of Godzilla and sneered. It crouched down, before it flew at Kiryu.

"Here it comes." Blake said.

"Rockets!" Yang yelled.

The shoulder mounted rocket pods that Kiryu had suddenly fired as it ignited its thrusters and charged at Destoroyah, the rockets not really doing much, but it definitely annoyed it.

Rodan stood up and grunted, his body all but exhausted from using his Fire form. He looked at Destoroyah as it and Kiryu met in combat, with Kiryu moving over the Kaiju and throwing it into a mountain.

Mustering whatever he had left, Rodan tried to transform and help Kiryu fight Destoroyah, and managed to do so.

He was gonna be out for awhile if he survived this.

Yang fired Kiryu's railguns as Blake charged its Mazer Cannon, as Destoroyah roared in anger, before being hit by a Uranium Beam by Rodan.

He nodded at Kiryu, before he transformed back into his Faunus form. His energy all spent now.

"Rodan." Yang said. "C'mon, Blake. Let's get this bastard."

"Right." Blake replied.

Kiryu's mouth opened and it fired its Mazer Cannon at Destoroyah, who took the hit and kept moving.

"Well, that's not working!" Yang exclaimed.

"Incoming!" Blake yelled.

Kiryu dodged Destoroyah's Horn Blade and countered with a Plasma Blade.

Destoroyah followed up its failed attack by swinging its Horn Blade back at Kiryu, which impacted with the mech's Plasma Blade.

Kiryu then fired rockets point blank that hit Destoroyah in the face and it flew back, getting distance from the Oxygen Destroyer Fiend.

Kiryu then fired its Mazer Cannon again as Destoroyah fired its Oxygen Destroyer Beam in response.

The two attacks collided and Kiryu skidded back a bit, before Destoroyah pushed and then started overpowering the mech.

"FIRE ABSOLUTE ZERO!" Yang shouted.

Kiryu's chest opened and mist fell from it, before its Absolute Zero Cannon started charging.

Just before the beam clash reached Kiryu, it fired its Absolute Zero Cannon, catching Destoroyah off guard and freezing it in place. The ice around Destoroyah crept up its body and it roared, enraged before it was completely frozen over.

Kiryu roared as Destoroyah stood before it, frozen in place, but not dead.

(I've always called Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan the Guardian Trio because in Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster, they fought and saved Earth from Ghidorah. I feel like this song suits them.)
