Alanya – 9th November 2015

EVERY MORNING IS ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY to be grateful.

Blinking slow to adjust her languid eyes to the natural light in the room, Malika pushed the comforter away. From the window view, the vast ocean emerged in a ravishing blue where other boats of different colors have docked.

She sat up at once. The clock revealed nine in the morning. Exhaustion must have led her to binge sleep till late and the same might be for Zaeem.

She breathed in and stepped down to marvel at the view.

A new day has begun in a different country where the sun shone bright in the sky and passer-by walked along the road, taking pictures and on the opposite side, restaurant and bars lined up. Above, seagulls flew in pack against the pale blue sky looking like a daydream. As the sun rays soaked into her skin, she felt no less than a tourist who would wake up in a foreign land for the first time.

Somehow, her stomach grumbled loud, pulling her out of the perfect morning meditation.

"Priority first," she muttered.

Rushing inside the washroom, Malika brushed her teeth and took a warm shower, removing all the sweat and dirt from the previous days. The lukewarm drops fell on her head and trickled down her back. She closed her eyes while wiping the lavender scented shower gel on her body. The sensation of the steamy atmosphere soothed her mind sending the concept of a stress-free life.

Wrapping a towel around her head and wearing the long white bathrobe, Malika stepped out. First thing, she pulled the curtains to be on a safer side and opened the wooden wardrobe, hoping there were clothes inside as the idea of wearing her sweaty and dirty dress again filled her with loathing.

"Yes," she exclaimed as there were options.

Organizing everything on the bed, she went through each one to analyze the decent and fitted clothes. To her horror, they were all business outfits such as skirts, blazers, pants and jumpsuits.

For a girl who has worn frocks and dresses with an exception of wearing Kabir's clothes for the sake of not attending Aryan Sheikh's ball found herself in a dilemma.

Take it or leave it, she had to choose fast.

After five minutes of pacing around, she removed the tags from the chosen clothes and wore them. Drying her hair, she combed it allowing large blonde curls cascading down her back. She applied moisturizer, sunscreen, powder and lipstick (make-ups available in the drawer) and put on a pair of black flat sandals for the sake of comfort.

Taking the diamond necklace in hand; she stood in front of the mirror.

The long sleeved black and white striped jumpsuit, flat sandals, nude pink lipstick, perfect large curls and the diamond necklace against her skin revealed what Zaeem Khan wife should looks like; classy, elegant and modern.
