Yay!

I will be honest. I got a little emotional when I typed the word 'epilogue.' I sensed something in my heart. This is my FIRST book on Wattpad and I've finally reached an end that I like.

I've taken it down many times, edit the storyline, publish it again, taking it down, it's a whole thing. But I finally concluded with a version that's close to my heart.

It's the longest one I've written yet, I think. I first published it in 2017 under the title 'You have captured my heart.' The theme was Cinderella but [CEO-SECRETARY Romance]. There were always plans for sequels with plot twists. But before I could finish writing the sequels, I received many hate comments due to the ending. It took a mental toll.

From that first draft, I've kept only the original characters' names (Aryan, Yasmin, Niyah, Kabir, Nayir, Aliyah, Tanya, Arzoo, and Dilnaz) and changed the rest.

Anyways, I took the book down for my own mental health and decided to give it a full rewrite

The theme, of course, was fairy tale retelling. Starting with Cinderella was always the original plan.

Okay, everybody knows the story of Cinderella. Rags to Rich, Prince, castle, animals, stepsister, etc.

As I mentioned, CEO-SECRETARY Romance in the first draft, I didn't want to portray their characters as such because it honestly felt cliché. Seriously, how many books are there on Wattpad with this theme?

Prince and a zookeeper, considering Cinderella has animals for friends felt close, relatable, and original for this retelling. Their tale was short and sweet, have courage and be kind, which is Cinderella's motto, perfectly depicted Yasmin.

Of course, since we are adding a realistic touch to it, I couldn't end it with '... and they lived happily ever after.'
