"NIYAH AZAR is at the door."
The hooligan in black suit conveyed to the leader of the underworld organization Dark Fey. He took two steps back, arms vertical at his sides and lowered his head.
With a sarcastic chuckle, she divulged, "Of course it's her. She's the only one with balls. Let her in."
"Yes, my Lady."
Tying the belt around her black velvet gown, she slid an antique knife stolen at an auction in Istanbul under her sleeve. Then she grabbed the dark grey crystal pendant adorned with a dragon of mauve wings and clasped it around her neck. She caressed it with the tip of her finger for a few seconds.
Taking a deep breath, she exited the master bedroom.
The bright white throne room has a large oval dome where natural light filtered inside. At each soaring white column on both sides, a henchman attired in black suit stood with arms straight and eyes focused on the opposite side.
She strode on the long black carpet, the train of her gown trailing behind her. Sitting on the raised throne, she clasped her fingers and nodded. The doorman got the signal and allowed Niyah Azar entrance.
The blue eyed brunette in grey jumpsuit advanced with head high. She stopped few feet near the platform of the throne. Pure irritation bedecked her fair face. The mafia leader offered a gentle smile.
"I'm impressed. It took you a mere week to discover the culprit."
"Where is my sister?"
"You mean my biological daughter"
"We-"
The lady in black interrupted. "Bought her from you when you were at your most vulnerable, this is the truth."
"That's not how it went. We never treated her like an outsider. Do not give me this crap," Niyah snapped.
"That is until you, my dear, got involved with the Prince of Athador. There were many options for you at University of Wales. But you had to fall in love with him and my daughter had to pay the consequences of your action."
"Are you referring to her kidnapping in Val Thorens?"
"You were there and you would have saved her. That's why I didn't get involved then. You refused to give Aryan his wife back and he strikes again. This time he sent his cousin to seduce your twin brother."
"Okay, now you're referring to the Dubrovnik incident. You wanna know who saved her?"
"I possess all the necessary information Niyah Azar. Ever since I became the leader of the Dark Fey, I made it my mission to keep tabs on all concerned parties. You played a big hand in bringing them all under one roof."
