CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

There's a beautiful woman in front of me, she's holding the hands of her child

She's very pretty, she's sing a little song to help the child fall asleep. She kissed her forehead and went outside her room

She's silently crying, there's a blood stain in her dress, she look in my direction and smiled

I cried looking at her, it's been so long since the last time I saw my mother's face, the woman crying in front of me was my mother

"---Loise, lady Eloise,"

I feel someone is calling my name, I slowly open my eyes and saw Veronica

That was just.....a dream?

"Lady Eloise, someone is looking for you."

"Who?"

"It's si Raiden Jondalar."

What is he doing here?

"Where is he now?"

"At the dining area, my lady,"

"I see."

I changed my clothes and went out to see him, I'm still sleepy and hungry in the same time

"Good morning," I greet as soon I got there

"Good morning," both my father and Elliote said

Raiden stood up and kisses my hand

"You look great as usual, m'lady"

"Thank you," I smiled at him, he escort me to my seat

"Sir Raiden, mind if I know what brings you here?" I ask

"Oh, you see, there's a big event tonight since today is the festival, I would like to you and duke's permission if you could go out with me." He said

Everyone was surprised, argh, this reaction is a little bit exaggerated

"Y-You're asking Eloise to go out with you?" Elliote asked

"Yes I am, sir"

"Pfft," Elliote suddenly laugh, What's wrong with this jerk?

Also, this is my first time seeing Elliote laugh like this

"Eloise, it seems that this gentleman is in love with you" he said, I saw Raiden blush, "But that's sounds good though, what do you think, father?"

"Yes it is. This is the first time someone asking Eloise to go out with her, that makes me happy though" the duke said

"This is the first time someone asked lady Eloise?"

"Yes, she's well known in northern empire because of the bad rumors about her that's why no one wants to be with her, but however, Eloise is different than the rumors now."

"I-I'm sorry, m'lady!" Raiden suddenly bow down to me

"It fine, it's not that I'm hurt or something." I said and chew my food

After we ate breakfast, we took a walk in the garden

"What a nice weather," he uttered

I stared at him as he put his hands above him. He's bright as the sun. He smiled at me.

"Right, the duke told me earlier that you're taking an archery lesson, I better get going now, my lady, I'm hoping to see you tonight," He kissed my hand

"Yeah, me too" I smiled at him

I accompany him until he get into his carriage. He wave goodbye at me. I head inside to change my clothes

The lady I saw in my dream last night was my mother, Eloise's mother to be exact. Somehow, I missed her since I spend my first life with her when I was a kid in Eloise's body.

I meet Augustus outside, as usual we started our training as soon as I got there. To be honest, I learn a lot from him. Thalia must be lucky to have him

When we finished our training, I'm about to head inside the state when Augustus suddenly called my name

"Lady Eloise,"

I turned around, "What?"

"Are you free tonight, m'lady? I would like to ask you to go with me in the capital for the festival."

"Uh..."

What should I do? I already promised Raiden that I'll go with him, argh!

"I-I have plans already, but you can come along."

"Really? Is it alright for you, m'lady?"

"Yes, it's fine."

He smiled at me, I don't know why but I suddenly blushed after seeing that. His smile is different from Raiden.
