The banquet has already started just minutes ago. A lots of nobles are gathering here inside of king Antoine Pierre's castle
I must say, the room is enormous. There's orchestra playing, nobles are chattering and we're here, feeling like an outcasts
I'm nervous, we don't know anyone here
"Ahhh! There you are, my lady!"
A voice caught all of our attention, it was Alphonse. He's wearing a luxurious garments, his hair is push back that make him looks so attractive, and his shoes are pointy. His appearance tonight makes him look like a decent prince. A lot of noble ladies glance at him and admires him. He probably has multiple marriage proposal, I presume.
"I'm glad you came." He spoke after he kissed the back of my hand
"Yeah, thank you for inviting us." I respond
He simply grin, "May I have the permission to take you on a dance, lady Eloise?"
I paused for a moment, I stared at his hands waiting for me to accept it. Well, I guess, I have to play along with him.
"Permission granted." I uttered
He signaled the orchestras to play a song for us to dance with. As the music starts playing, he guides me into the centre of the ballroom.
we dance, he gaze right into my eyes
"Those purple eyes suits you so well, my lady." He said as a compliment
"You look good tonight too," I replied
"Thanks, I indeed intend to dressed up like this to arouse you. Is it safe to say that it's working?" He added and laugh
"Anyway, I think we have to go after the banquet, your highness."
"I see, it does seems you are here for something."
"Someone." I corrected him
"Oh, you're here for someone. Y'know, if you tell me, I could probably help you."
"He's a mage living here in the eastern, do you perhaps know anything about Humrey Shele?"
His expression changed and he gaze at me with a very frighting look
"Humrey Shele is a very dangerous man."
"I am aware, your highness."
"Then why did you come here just to see him?"
"I took a child under my care, and she's suffering at this very moment, so I wanted to cure her. But unfortunately, I can't. Therefore, I wanted to see Humrey Shele, he's the one who can cure that child." I said
"I understand. I believe I know where he is right now."
He held my hands and kiss it, "I want to help you even if it ruin my reputation, because I like you."
