I woke up because it's so noisy. Since when did my room become a circus?
"Lady Eloise has woken up, everyone!" It's Stella she was standing near the door
"Good morning, my lady" all of them greet
"What's going on?" I asked
"Apparently, there's a lot of noble men are waiting outside the state. They plan to hand you a marriage contract, my lady." Stella answered
"Marriage contract?"
"Yup, there's a huge news today, and the next thing we know that all those high rank nobles are outside in the manor now."
"What news?"
"About princess Shae's pregnancy, my lady. The emperor announced it this morning"
"And why those nobles are outside the state?"
"They heard that sir Elliote is the father."
Tsk, those nobles just probably wanna use me for their own benefits. This is such a pain in the ass
I took a bath and changed my clothes. I ate my breakfast and went outside
All of them are smiling at me when they saw me. I approach them but I didn't open the gate. It'll be a huge mess if I did.
"There she is!"
"Hello my lady! I'm from the house of Machica!"
"I'm the marquis Ycob, I'm sure you remember me from your birthday."
"Pleasure to meet you, my lady, I'm viscount Adam."
"My son and my family really like you since the start my lady, they didn't believe any of the rumors about you!"
I raised my hand to shut them all at once. I stared at them blankly
"I'm not marrying your sons for pete's sake. Now, leave the ducal state at once."
"But, my lady, you can't do that, the duke, your father, gave us permission to properly hand you a marriage contract." A noble man said
"My father, you say? How come? My father is not even in this house, so does my brother."
The noble man is embarrassed after I said that. He dared lie to me
"But we're begging you, lady Eloise, it's for the future of our families."
"My answer is no." I said, I'm about to turn around when suddenly one of the noble man shout
"It's an imperial carriage!"
Most of them are murmuring after they saw prince Severus came out from that carriage
"It's the head of imperial knight, Theodore Renaud!" One of the noble said
Theodore was looking good as usual, same as prince Severus
"There's a lot of crowd here today." Severus said
"Lady Eloise is quite popular now." Theodore added
I rolled my eyes, "What are you doing here, your highness?"
"I want to talk to you about something, mind if we come in?" Severus asked
"Open the gate" I told the guard, they opened the gate and both of them entered
The nobles are murmuring but I didn't mind them, I told the guards to watch them carefully, I don't want any of those crap entering the ducal's state
We entered the manor and I offered them to sit, I ordered Stella to prepare a tea for the guest
"What can I help you, your highness?"
"It's about my sister's pregnancy. You already know about this before my father's announcement, don't you?" He said
"When we sneak into the palace to follow my brother, I really don't get what they're talking about, until the day your sister invited me in her tea party, I had a talk with my brother and he told me princess Shae is carrying his baby." I replied
"You sneak into the palace?"
"We sneak into the palace."
"With who?"
"Stella, my servant."
Theodore chuckled after I said that, we both look at him
"Sorry, I believe that lady Eloise can sneak into the palace anytime but I can't believe she actually did it." Theodore said
"I see. Anyway, your brother said he'll take responsibility so my father is cool with it." Severus said
"I'm glad things turned out well." I added
"Yep,"
Stella came with a tea, his highness drank his and so as Theodore.
"Where's the duke, anyway? I haven't seen him for a while now?" Severus asked again
"He went to a business trip in Eastern Empire."
"I see. I have some papers with me, would you mind if I stayed here for a bit long?"
"Why, your highness?"
"The palace is a bit messy right now, they're preparing a banquet and you and your father is invited. It's to celebrate princess Shae and sir Elliote engagement."
"Oh, I see. I'll tell my father. I'm sure he'll be back at noon."
"Don't worry, we'll leave before dinner, so can we stay here?"
"Of course, you can stay here as long as you want, your highness."
"Great." He slightly smiled
I drank my tea. I actually feel really great, Elliote is finally having a family with her highness. It's a happy ending for them
I'm really glad, I wanted to congratulate them.
