I'm writing a letter to Adelaide when my brother walks into my room
"Father's here, dinner is ready." He said
"Right, coming"
"You better hurry" He walks away after he said that
I arranged my desk and locked the letter in my drawer, I stood up and went into the dining hall.
"Good evening, father," I said
"Good evening, I think you've heard this in the newspapers but someone from the imperial palace poisoned Princess Shae's lady in waiting. It's a noble lady from the house of Aiden."
"Why did they kill her?" I asked
"No one knows but the house of Aiden points you as the main suspect," Father said
"What?"
"They believe you poisoned their daughter, they assume that you wanted to marry prince Severus and make yourself the new lady in waiting."
"Father, this doesn't make any sense, why did they point me as the suspect? I don't even know who the woman is."
"She's lady Olivia Aiden."
"I still don't know her."
"I did everything to speak on your behalf but they want to hear it from you."
"I'll speak to them"
"That'll be too hard, the news about that spread quickly, everyone is now believing the possibility you killed her."
"That time when we were in the imperial palace, lady Olivia tried to reach you and talked to you but you simply ignored her, everyone saw that," brother said
"That still doesn't make any sense why'd they think I'll kill her just for ignoring her. Do they have any evidence?"
"They don't, that's why some still believe you didn't do anything but the house of Aiden was known for being good at gaslighting, don't let them manipulate more people in this issue, Eloise. I know you're innocent" brother replied
"The court will begin next week, prepare yourself for possible outcomes of that event."
I drank my wine and looked at my plate, why did they do that? They haven't proven anything but they already accused me
House of Aiden, never heard of them in the novel, does this mean I already change my future but still bumping into more trouble? Is that how badly they want to see the villainess's dead body in front of them?
