I fell to the ground, feeling despondent. How could he have simply drifted away without saying anything? Is he interested in helping us? This one is giving me a headache.

Prince Severus approaches me and extends his hands to me, but I decline. I didn't mind how long I must remain here, I just had to discover Zian's treatment from Humrey Shele.

"I don't anticipate he'll return fairly soon," Theodore concluded.

"There must be some other way to persuade him, right? He can't merely go like that," Stella continued.

"I have a suspicion he's still around, lady Eloise; don't lose faith," Raiden urged.

We are overtaken with silence. This is killing me, thus I stroke my hair.

We lingered like this until his highness fell asleep next to me. I let him sleep on my shoulder since I understand he's exhausted.

Humrey reappears unexpectedly.

"I created this potion as fast as I could," he said as he gave me the potion glass that contained purple fluid.

My heart leapt with delight; I honestly imagined he'd depart like that.

"If you're the actual tyrant Eloise I know, I'm not willing to help you," he continued.

"How did you figure that out?"

"Your soul appears more pristine than hers. It gives an entirely distinct aura," he remarked. "However, I must warn you young lady, I foresee from the future that your very existence will be in jeopardy alongside with these folks here. By that time, I'd like you keep yourself vigilant and avoid letting your guard down."

"Why? What will happen?"

"Someone is returning. Someone is going to betray you. Everything you worked for will be destroyed. The sirens have called, and the black shadows will rise once more. Be wary."

He was ready to walk away when I stated, "Wait, stop! Who's coming back?"

"The woman whose name was Sera."
