CHAPTER FIFTY FOUR

I always saw his highness busy with his paper works inside the mansion

I always thought, why did he fall for Thalia, though? Did she use the black magic to all the male leads just to achieve the original storyline? It's possible for her to do that

"Ehh? You're staring to his highness for like fifteen minutes now, my lady "

I turned around and saw Theodore behind me

He smiled, "Yo!"

"Sir Theodore, are you interested to a girl named Thalia Ygritte?" I asked out of nowhere

"Ah, Thalia Ygritte? She's attractive, really, but she doesn't make me feel assured like you do, lady Eloise." He said then he pat at my head, "Also, do you mind if I used the kitchen?" He added

"Why?" I asked

"I want to cook for someone I really admired" then he winks

I smiled, "Yeah, sure, go ahead."

"Thank you, my lady." He turned around and walked away

I stared at his back, I wonder, why does he like me in the first place? He's a bit sus when I meet him but he's a kind guy

"Are you watching me earlier?"

I startled when I heard a voice behind me. I saw Severus smiling at me then he went back to his seat

"I'm sorry, your highness."

He chuckled, the atmosphere between us is really awkward

"Do you still remember the time we first met, m'lady?"

Ah, that time.....

"Sorry, I'm a bit random right now. Pardon me"

I nod, "Yes, I remember, your highness."

He looked at me, he smiled again, "I had fun once in a while because of you, my lady."

"Me either."

"And about the time we climbed the tree together....I'm sorry if you got hurt."

I touch my head, "It's didn't leave a scar so It's okay."

"Why did you choose to play with me instead of your mother that day, lady Eloise?" He asked

"I'm always with my mother and and you're the second person who showed kindness to me. That's why I want to know you more."

"It's about the kindness, huh?"

"It is." I replied

"I see."

The two of us are quite now. This is awkward

I'm about to leave when I heard a gun shot near us

We both hurried and open the window. The gun shot was coming from the outside of the ducal's state. I saw a familiar figure standing in front of the dead person

"What the hell..." His highness uttered

That person turn around and stared at us. I covered my mouth when I saw his face. His eyes are dull and dead unlike before. He had blood all over his coat

Why the heck did you do this, Raiden?
