CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED THIRTEEN

"Sera? But she's currently in prison which has a very tight security. There's no way she can escape without getting caught." I explained, "But if she did escape, who would help her?"

"That's something I can't answer. You must find it out yourself."

He then vanishes into the air. I stared at the potion. This is the only cure for Zian. I have to go back now.

"Everyone! Let's head back to the ducal's state, it's an order." I declared

All of them agreed and Raiden was preparing to bring us back to the Northern empire

We gathered around him and he cast his spell. I feel lightheaded once again

I shut my eyes and fall asleep for a second

I don't know why but being teleported from place to place is making me dizzy and just wanted to fall asleep.

I suddenly saw a vision where everyone, including Zian, attempted to kill me

As I opened my eyes, I found myself, with everyone, in front of the ducal's state

"We're here," Raiden remarked

I didn't hesitate to run inside the ducal's state. I heard them call my name, but I didn't look back.

I run where Zian rested, but when I got there, she was nowhere to be found

I ran around the ducal's mansion, I checked everywhere but the place is completely empty

I started to panic, what's going on!?

"Lady Eloise!"

I heard them call my name. I saw Stella running towards me

"The place is entirely empty. Everyone's gone." I stated

"It can't be, Veronica should be here, the duke should be home few days ago, did you check all the rooms?" She asks

"Yes! Yes, I've checked them but even their shadows are nowhere to be found! It's driving me insane!" I panicked

"Calm down, lady Eloise, there must be some clue somewhere. Pull yourself together, lady Eloise, please!"

"Master, I found a knight in the garden," Gabriel remarks

I instantly went to the garden. As soon as I got there, the whole place was a mess

The tint of blood scattered all over the Dahlias.

"L-Lady...... Eloise..."

I  heard a faded voice from a wounded knight lying on the ground, surrounded by blood.

I went towards him and asks, "What happened to the ducal's state while I was gone!?"

"S-Sera...... t-took e-everyone with..... h-her..... including t-the kids......" He stated as he's struggling to catch his breath

"Where did she take them!?"

"I d-don't k-know, Lady E-Eloise. H-However, s-she left a n-note for you."

His hand shakes as he passed me the paper that already had his blood on it.

I opened the note and read;

'One petal of roses fell, one piece of your footprint left, guess who broke your trust first.'
