The two of them were walking very slowly on a sidewalk near the neighborhood, when Lisa suddenly stopped in her tracks

“Senior,” She looked at a certain place across the road, “Let’s go for porridge.”

    Porridge?

It was a light meal, it couldn’t be that bad.

    It didn’t matter to him.

    “Sure.” He replied.

Jungkook followed her to the crosswalk. Waiting for the red light to turn, he casually asked, “You like to eat porridge?”

She tilted her head and thought about it, “It’s okay. I don’t hate it.”

“Then why did you suddenly think of it?”

A few minutes ago, she clearly said she was “fine with anything.”

Her large eyes suddenly curved up and her voice was soft, “Because I just remembered you were sick, senior.”

    “……”

“When you’re sick, you have to drink porridge.” ” She added with an earnest expression.

    Jungkook stared blankly.

In the time it took to speak, the red light had already passed.

“What are you doing, senior!” When the light was green, Lisa raised her foot to cross, but found the person next to her was standing motionless.

Not only did he not move, but he was staring straight at her.

“The light’s green!” She was in a hurry and tugged his arm, “Let’s go, senior!”

Jungkook came back to his senses and followed her tug to walk forward.

He lowered his eyes, and his eyes fell on her small, white hand.

Her hand’s temperature was a little warmer than his arm. He still remembered the touch from the afternoon. It was just like it was then, feeling soft and smooth on his arm.

After crossing the road and getting to a safe spot, Lisa immediately let go of her hand and moved away very naturally.

She stood still and turned back to meet the eyes of the person behind her: “Senior, how can you be lost in thought while crossing the road!”

    “……”

“That’s dangerous! At the place where we were standing, my grandma had told me before that there was a girl who was playing with her phone while waiting for the red light. She wasn’t paying attention to the car, and then her clothes were blown by a motorcycle, it was just……”

“Jus….” Lisa thought about the ending of this story. It was too tragic. She really didn’t really want to mention it.

    “Just……”

She thought about it and simply summed it up in one sentence.

    “Just so tragic!!!”

    “……”

She saw a slight change on Su Lin’s face.

“Anyway,” She summoned up the courage to say, “Senior, don’t do this again in the future……”

    “……”

Jungkook was distracted for a few seconds.

The sound of her saying “just so tragic” echoed in his ears as she feigning seriousness to scare and educate him.

He suddenly couldn’t help but start laughing.

Not just laughing out loud, but the kind of intense laughter where he even shed a few tears.

He caught her walking a few steps forward in his peripheral vision. Jungkook slightly straightened up and lowered his eyes.

She was the same as before in her grandpa’s house: beside him, almost within reach.

Lisa was looking up at him, her eyes perfectly rounded. He didn’t know why but there was some doubt and a bit of suspicion on her face. Her lips were also unconsciously slightly pouting.

Jungkook couldn’t help but reach out to touch the top of her head.

The feeling was similar to what he had imagined: her hair was soft and fluffy.

    He pressed slightly harder.

Then he felt the head under his hand freeze instantly.

Her cheeks were pink, the color spreading from her matching dimples to the roots of her ears. Her whole face became pink and tender.

    Lisa opened her mouth.

Jungkook thought she was going to say something.

The result—she suddenly squatted down without warning.

With her hands covering her ears and her head lowered, she looked like a tiny ball.

    “……?”

Jungkook also squatted down beside her, looking at the contrast between her white skin and pink ears.

He heard her make a sound as soft as a buzzing insect.

    “Senior…. what’re you doing….”

She dragged the last syllable longer than usual, like a completely unconscious murmuring. Like…. acting coquettishly with him.

    Jungkook’s whole body went stiff.

He ruffled his hair with one hand, grinded his back teeth, and cursed in a low voice.

    F*ck.

    ***

    Sunday morning.

After eating breakfast, Lisa found an excuse to leave early as usual.

In fact, after returning last night, she didn’t sleep very well.

When she was living at her own home, no matter what noise her father made from the living room, she could automatically filter it out, desperately using the “if you don’t quickly fall asleep, you won’t have energy for school tomorrow” mindset. She used this reason to hypnotize herself and it was particularly efficient.

So, the habit of falling asleep quickly seemed to have been ingrained.

After going to college, her roommates all admired her biological clock that was punctual enough that she never needed to set an alarm.

She hadn’t felt the feeling of being unable to sleep for a long time.

    However, yesterday….

In fact, she didn’t know why she reacted so much.

If it was just because of the intimate contact…. Before, when the older brother from Grandpa Li’s family across the street came to visit her grandfather’s house, he’d also always wanted to touch her head, but she was able to quickly dodge it.

    Sigh.

Seeing Eunha’s neighborhood nearing in front of her, Lisa shook her head.

Don’t dwell on it. Either way, it was in the past.

    Anyway, it was…… just….

It was just touching her hair. That was all.
