Skylar had left the preserve without a second glance spared, she was pretty much fed up with all the bullshit that came with being a supernatural creature. If she had known that her best friend would grow to be a pain in the ass all thanks to his newfound heroism, she'd have left him to deal with the whole situation on his own - not that he'd be on his own considering her twin rarely ever went against their best friend. A few years ago the brunette actually questioned whether the two boys had something weird going on, or if it was just some sort of brotherly love.
The walk home was a lot longer than it usually would be, she hadn't felt the need to rush like she normally would. It was nice to just stroll and take in her surroundings, the stars and the moon had lit up the sky illuminating the eerie essence of Beacon Hills. Within thirty minutes she had reached her house, she assumed no one was home due to the lack of lights surrounding the outside and inside of the house.
As soon as Skylar stepped foot through her door, she threw her coat on the rack and raced up the stairs to her bedroom. It took her about fifty seconds to get unchanged and into her pyjamas to which she then dived into her bed. She reached towards her night stand to retrieve her EarPods, the second they were placed in her ears she had her music playing on full blast.
She had stayed like that for a good few hours, her sketchbook in hand as she continued drawing a portrait of the strawberry blonde she had started not too long ago. The drawing was definitely one of her pieces she was most proud of, it was still majorly incomplete but it was already perfect without having any drop of colour. She actually debated whether she should add colour to it or not, having the chance to colour the strawberry blonde curls she'd grown to love swayed her choice. Skylar had decided to go ahead with using her water paints. The drawing was now covered in strawberry blonde curls, whilst the rest of it was still black and white.
It was a little after nine at night and the brunette had finally stopped drawing, she had took her earpods out and placed them on charge ready for the next day - there's no way she'd survive a day without them being charged, having to deal with humans mean she had to at least charge her earphones.
The handle to her bedroom door had slowly turned down, and she had assumed that it was her twin making his way into her room without even asking once again. She was pleasantly surprised when the woman she was just drawing mere minutes ago stepped into her room, a small frown on her face as if she was upset about something.
"Your father let me in. He said he'll be home late, police business." Lydia announced as she made her way over to the brunette's bed, not that she even could sit down due to the multiple sketchbooks and art equipment spewed all over.
Skylar nodded at the strawberry blonde's words, her eyes following the emerald green ones noticing the amount of shit she had on her bed, stopping the other teen from taking a seat. She grabbed a hold of her paints, pencils and a bunch of other art equipment and headed towards her art drawers.
