I wanna go to!

Age:4

Elizabeth's POV:

I was getting ready to go to the tonight show for the books promotion. Robbie was coming to since he decided to be in the audience with the hattie puppet.

I entered the living room where he and Evelyn were in. Evelyn was on the floor playing with her plushies and hattie with Robbie.

"Ready? " I asked. He looked up at me and nodded then looked back at Evelyn. "Hey Ev mommy and daddy have to go somewhere for work. " he said taking her attention off her toys. She tilted her head. "Together? " she asked. "No mommys going to be on TV and daddy is going to be in the audience there. " he said to her.

"I wanna go to! " she then said with a smile. I walked up the them and sat beside them. "Baby you can't come. " I said to her causing her to frown. "Whyyy!" She asked. We both looked at each other.

"Because there will be people taking pictures and we don't want people to see you. " I said tucking some hair behind her ear. "But I wanna go... " she said as her eyes filled with tears. "Please mommy daddy can I please go. "

She said with puppy eyes with tears. We both looked at each other not knowing what to do.

We sighed and nodded. She smiled widely and dragged me to her room to change.

I took proper clothes out of her closet and started changing her. I did her hair and went down stairs where Robbie was waiting. I walked to him with Ev in my arms and whispered in his ear. "Im taking her headphones put them on just in case. " I told him as there was probably going to be some swearing.

"How about you wear daddys glasses when we go out. " I said to Ev and she nodded and we made out way to the car.

When we got there I was about to go backstage but Ev wanted to come with. I nodded "Want to walk? " I asked her and she lifted her arms. I picked her up and made my way backstage.

"Hello... " I said to everyone and Ev stayed silent. We sat on the sofa until I was called. Ev just played with the rings on my fingers. "When they call mommy I want you to go to daddy okay. This miss will help you. " I said pointing to the staff. She nodded and then they called me.

I put Evelyn down and the staff took her hand.

Evelyn's POV:

Mommy put me down and the lady held my hand. Mommy said goodbye to me and I said goodbye back. "Come on let's go to your daddy. " the lady said to me and we went out the door.

We walked to a place where there were quite alot of people. The lady looked around for abit and then we walked through the crowd. "See its daddy. " she said to me pointing to him as we walked to him. Quickly of course.

Daddy saw us and he took me and put me on his lap when we got to him then the lady left. He took out headphones and a tiny mask out of his bag and put them on me.

I was about to take the mask off as I didn't want it on but he stopped me. "Keep it on hunny. " he whispered and I nodded. He was holding the hattie puppet so I held his big hand. He lookes at me and gave me the puppet.

Currently mommy and 3 other guys were playing a game. They were choosing some things off a wall and the other was trying to guess it. It looked like they were having fun.

But the people would say numbers before they choose. They were loud but it was fine. Since the sound was kind of muffled by my headphones but I could still hear them since music wasn't really playing.
