Chapter 45

Sage's POV:
"You slapped him?" I practically yelled
This week has been full of surprises, Hallie slapped Draco cause her and Karl were fighting, Clementine started dating Darius, Clementine got a boyfriend before me and Hallie.
"I did." She smiled proudly
I smirked "you go off."
"So you finally got to clap his cheeks huh?" I started wheezing
Hallie's jaw dropped as I fell over wheezing and laughing.
"SAGE!" She shrieked
Hallie started attacking me and I could barley hold her off from laughing so hard.

"Woah woah woah! What is happening here?" Finn asked
He was standing over our fighting figures on the floor and we both looked up at him. I just just finished laughing when I started wheezing again trying to explain to Finn what I had said. Once I got it out you could tell he was trying not to laugh as hard as me.

Finn pulled us apart still trying to contain his laughter, I was still wheezing.
"We'll all I can say is he deserved it." He smiled
"Thank you Finn, the only one who cares." Hallie dramatically sat down
"Come on! That was funny! You know I'm funny!" I wiped a tear from my eye
"Yeah, whatever." Hallie turned her head away trying to hide her smirk
She knows that I'm hilarious.

Hallie had to head off to her class and Finn's next class was close to hers so they decided to walk together leaving me alone to read my book. It was strange not reading in the library but the cool breeze made it feel almost better than the library... almost. Of course not long after I started reading Fred came running along looking for me.

"Hello love!" Fred smiled down at me
He gently grabbed my book and bookmark from my hands, marking my page and sticking it in my bag.
"Fred, what are you doing?"
"Come to force you to hang out with me and George." He smirked
He grabbed my hand and started walking off taking me with him.

We found George hanging out with Ron, Hermione and Harry in the courtyard. I sat down in an empty seat next to George with Fred sitting in front of me on the ground, leaning against my legs. I knew why he liked sitting there, it's cause I would always start unconsciously start playing with his hair and he loved that. Last time he sat against my legs he ended up with a French braid and I hadn't even realized until I started looking around for a hair tie.

Somehow the topic of conversation had turned to unique body features, like Harry's scar, the weasleys unlimited amount of freckles. I was just listening, it was quite a interesting conversation and great inspiration for when I paint people.
"Sage, I never noticed until recently you have vitiligo don't you?" Hermione pointed out
As a feature to add to the list they were talking about. I looked up, my hands pausing midway through a small braid I was doing on Fred's head.

"She does?" Both the twins asked looking at me
"Yeah, all over her chest, neck, and arms." Hermione commented
"I mean, yeah it just isn't that noticeable." I shrugged
"Oh I see it!" George chirped examining at my arm
"Oh I see it too-" Fred was looking up at my neck
"I think it looks wicked!" Fred smiled
"Truly I find vitiligo quite fascinating." Hermione said sounding like a English professor

My face got increasingly red, I wasn't used to compliments especially not about things that people usually find unusual.
"Hey, ok let's talk about Harry's lighting bolt!" I awkwardly laughed
Everyone continued to talk about features on other students meandering around, when my eye caught on Darius walking past. He was eying us as he walked passed.
"I bet Clementine would be pointing out Darius' lips." I snickered to Fred who started laughing with me

"What?" Harry asked snapping his head to look at us
We both froze at the force of Harry's simple question.
"Uhm, uh-" I stuttered
"Why would Clementine-"
"You don't know?" George asked
"Know what?" Harry asked getting more snippy
"Uhm, Clementine is kind of dating Darius." I whispered
Harry's jaw dropped and his face fell. We all looked at him sympathetically.
"I thought you knew." I mumbled

We all sat in an awkward silence until Harry said he was tired and stormed off, and Ron ran after him.
"I didn't think he still liked her..." I mumbled
"Yeah-"
"He's been making eyes at that girl-"
"Cho Chang."
The twins said
Hermione shook her head "He can't seem to make up his mind."

We all sat in silence and I continued braiding Fred's hair.
"Who do you think he'll choose?" George asked
"I expect now that he knows about Darius, he'll choose Cho. Although I'm sure he would prefer Clementine." Hermione responded "I better go find them, we need to talk about the first task. Hopefully we can distract him."
Hermione got up and headed off in the direction Harry and Ron went.

"Hey, let's go find Lee and MC." George chirped
"You mean the Lee and MC that are making their way over here now?" Fred asked pointing at the two
"Oh."
I laughed at George's response
"So what's the tea? Why did those three run off?" MC asked eagerly
"Sage totally let it slip that Clementine was dating Darius-" Fred started
"And he got upset and ran off even though he has a thing for Cho Chang as well as Clementine." George completed the explication

"You make it sound like I was trying to be rude." I rolled my eyes "I thought he knew about them, cause I had seen him looking at Cho."
"Then why is he upset? If he's already looking at another girl he has no reason to be upset." MC questioned
I pulled out a hair tie from my pocket and tied Fred's hair to keep the braid in place
"Nice braid." Lee snickered
"Thanks." Fred smiled proudly
"We better start heading to dinner." I said
