Nobody can really change in the span of two weeks.

But Tessa LaRusso did.

There was no way she would be able to go back to how things were before the fight.

Tessa walked the hospital hallways, making her way to the ICU.

She had just gotten back from her doctor's appointment to check on her stomach wound, Miguel was one floor above her.

The entire appointment she had an itching feeling spread throughout her body knowing Miguel was there, but she couldn't talk to him.

"Can I help you?" The lady asked, looking up lazily at the LaRusso girl.

"Hi, um, I'm here to see Miguel Diaz. He's in the ICU." Tessa tried to smile, but failed as she looked down, picking at her fingers.

"Are you family?" The women was unimpressed.

"Uh, I—"

"Only family are allowed to see patients in the ICU." The women looked back down at her computer, typing away at something.

"Yes, but—" She tried to speak, but the women wouldn't budge.

"If you are not family, you can't see anyone in the ICU." The door opened as the lady spoke.

"She's his girlfriend, she can come see him." Carmen spoke, Rosa following short behind. Tessa looked to her side, looking at the two with a smile.

"Hi." She looked at both of them with such a smile as she walked up to them. She wrapped her arms around Carmen, giving the women a hug. She did the same with Rosa.

"Thats not family." The women just looked up at the three, stopping herself from chewing her gum.

"I'm Miguels mother, if I say someone can come into the room they're coming into the room." Carmen grabbed onto Tessa's hand leading her through the door as they made their way towards Miguels room.

"You know Miguel and I aren't together anymore." Tessa mumbled, looking down at her shoes as she walked.

"I know, but your still family whether you like it or not." Tessa looked up at the mother with a smile. They stopped in front of Miguel's room, her smile dropping. "We'll let you talk to him privately." Tessa nodded as she gave the two a weak smile.

It had been two weeks since Miguel had been in a coma, and this was the first time she had seen him since she watched him being dragged away. She opened the door to his room, her heart breaking more at the sight of the boy who had multiple medical equipment's hooked up to himself.
