The Prince of Denial

Chapter 21 (Year 2)

Raven groaned as he realized that they had been tricked by Merlin into leaving several days early. How rude of him. Then again, he did need to get the books for this year... well actually he didn't. He did buy all 7 years' worth of books last year.

However, he did get to see a great sight. One was Rose roasting Malfoy. Jr, and then he saw Arthur Weasley and Lucius Malfoy get into a fistfight only to have it broken up by Hagrid.

However, he was curious why Rose was with the weasels. Before he could ask though, they were dragged away by the red-headed army.

So with a resigned sigh, he booked a room at the leaky cauldron, he would go and buy the books, but that idiot Lockhart was still there.

Perhaps he wouldn't be able to restrain himself from seeing the blonde idiot again just yet.

So he ended up spending his remaining days playing with a cat Arc, who was honestly adorable. He of course did send a message to Professor Kitty, saying that he had another familiar. Merlin had taught him to make things show as something else in a scan. Like making a master and servant bond, appear like a familiar bond.

So he eventually decided to just use the time to nap and enjoy himself. He didn't know why, but he had a gut feeling this year was going to be a major annoyance.

So with a resigned sigh, he just read at the ice cream shop in the alley and ate a LOT of ice cream with his two familiars. It was quite fun if he was honest.

He also went into London and found some pizza places he liked especially well. He would send an elf to get him pizza from there all the time. He LOVED pizza.

Last time someone tried to stop him from eating it, well that kid pees his pants every time he sees Raven. All he did was try to feed the kid to a python. Nothing too much. The kid was only halfway into being swallowed before they saved him.

The kid tried to blame him, but who would suspect innocent little him of such a thing?

Meanwhile, a kid was shaking as he saw a snake image and started rocking on the sidewalk as people tried to see what was wrong with him.

"He's probably fine by now," Raven muttered as he curled up on his bed with Arcueid as his body pillow. She was quite comfy. Ella was sleeping between them without being crushed somehow.

Eventually, as the days passed Raven found himself enjoying himself as he trolled people in the alley at random times.

However, it was finally time to return to Hogwarts. Professor Tabby-Cat had responded to him saying that he could bring his new cat since there was a familiar bond. She also told him that after he woke up the day after the sorting ceremony he was to go to her office to be tested for his accelerated program.

Perhaps they might even let him do self-study instead? Oh, what he could do with all that free time?

Perhaps he could make the little first years into his minions? Then make them have a little war against each other. Oh, the fun he could have!

However, he knew that Professor Tabby would somehow find out and nag him for it. While worth it for the sheer amusement he would have, it was not worth it to deal with the punishment she would give him.

So with a resigned sigh, he laid down on his charm-chanced cushion seat on the train and started to fall asleep.

Arc was curled up in his arms and Ella was currently resting on his legs.
