I've decided I'm going to start cross posting onto WebNovel, so if you see the story over there, it's PROBABLY me.

Raven opened his eyes and smiled as he felt the body warmth of his girlfriend - MATE - against his chest as the were cuddled up in front of the hearth which crackled.

An in that moment he realized just why his mom was so happy in the memories Merlin showed him of the old times, back when Camelot still existed and they all didn't live inside of Avalon. When mother still lived.

Raven wasn't sure on how to handle those emotions just yet, but perhaps soon he would find a way to handle them, for now he would enjoy himself. Allow himself to bask in the warmth of his mate and the very comfort her presence brought his soul.

Squeezing her a little tighter and closer to his chest he fell back to sleep.

Once again they were watched over by the crackling of the hearth flames.

Raven was humming a very quiet tune as he studied in the library about the complexity of emotions.

Coming to terms with his emotional capabilities took some courage, but he willingly chose to try and better himself. To understand emotions.

Oh sure, he understood some emotions.

Anger

Rage

Happiness

Love

Jealousy

Lust

Desire

There were a few more, but those primarily he understood. He lived those emotions.

Anger at anyone daring to even try to harm his family.

Rage at pesky creatures annoying him and those who dare go against him... ok perhaps he didn't understand rage...

Happiness at reuniting with his mom. Meeting the people in his life he truly cared for.

Love for Rose. Love for his mom. Love for...

Raven grabbed his head in pain as he got flashbacks to a purple haired women smiling at him. Holding his hand. Helping him cook. Teaching him sword techniques.

His very soul itself seemed to call out to this woman like it did Rose. Why? What purpose did it desire to call out to a woman he seemed to know absolutely nothing about.

However for now he shoved everything involving that away. For now he would study. Improve himself. Better himself for those he cared about.

Perhaps one day he could become a therapist?

Pft!

Nah, he'd be more likely to hand them a dagger and say, use this to solve your problems. Then watch in fascination if they tried to kill themselves or go and try to kill someone else.
