(A/N: This is technically the "100th" chapter however 10 of those did not contribute to the story and were simply chapters I posted to communicate with you guys. So this is only the 90th chapter. However, that is still a great journey. I am going to go for a 2500 to 3000 word chapter for the 100th one that is going to be dropped 30th December since daily updates during winter vacation. Anyway, enjoy the chapter!)

After curing Princess Angelina's curse of blindness, Cordelia and I were escorted to a lavish guest room where we were served tea and snacks by the maids. The Princess sat across from us, accompanied by her magician.

As the conversation began, Angelina whispered something into the ear of the crimson-haired knight, who hesitated briefly before nodding and departing from the room. I deduced that he had gone to inform the Emperor, as it was logical for him to do so given our sudden appearance and the miraculous cure of the Princess.

"Shall we start with introductions?" Cordelia broke the silence, her friendly smile easing the tension in the air.

She bowed gracefully, introducing herself, "I am Cordelia Vritra, hailing from Alacarya."

"I am Jude Leywin, from Dicathen," I added with a respectful bow.

"I am not familiar with either of those places," Angelina remarked, taking a sip of her tea.

A smirk crept up on my face as I replied, "That's because we are from another world."

Everyone in the room, including the maids, couldn't help but show their surprise and disbelief. Even the stoic Princess was taken aback, although she quickly regained her composure.

As I asked Angelina if she believed us, she placed her teacup down and locked her verdant gaze with my emerald eyes. After a moment of silence, she nodded and spoke, her tone serious and measured.

"As the sole princess of the most powerful empire in the world, I have been witness to many extraordinary things. Even the Great Sage, who has reached the eighth circle, was unable to rid me of this curse. However, you came and were unable to recognize Albert or Aluxio, nor were you able to recognize me and healed me with ease. This suggests that you are either sages that nobody has ever heard of, or you are truly from another world."

I was impressed by her sharp mind and logical reasoning, and my admiration must have shown on my face as I chuckled inwardly.

Angelina then made a request that caught us off guard. She asked us to help the Hyperion Empire deal with the Church of the Black Sun. Cordelia rushed to reassure her and urged her to sit back up, but I asked her to give me an incentive to help them.

Angelina appeared frustrated and unsure of what she could offer in return for our help. "I am not sure what I can offer," she finally said, "but I promise that in the name of Princess Angelina, I will use all my means to procure a suitable reward for those who help the Hyperion Empire."

As we were conversing with the princess, the door burst open and a man entered the room. Despite knowing he was the father of the princess, he seemed quite young, perhaps in his mid-twenties. He had golden hair, typical of the imperial family, that was neatly trimmed and combed, and his dangerous blood-red eyes were nothing to scoff at. His aura was intense, and I estimated it to be at least on par with the king bear's level, if not above it.

As I scanned his body secretly using aether, I couldn't help but think that everyone in this world was incredibly powerful, far stronger than Dicathen had been before the war. Cordelia and I stood up and greeted the emperor.

"My name is Alexander, the Eleventh Emperor of the Hyperion Empire. I have heard that you cured my daughter of the curse of Ra," he said, slightly bowing his body as a sign of respect. "I want to thank you not just as an emperor but also as a father for saving my daughter from the curse that tormented her for a year."

I replied, "It was only a small favour done to make amends for our trespassing on the palace, Your Majesty."

He dismissed our offense, saying, "That is of no matter. However, I did hear something interesting before entering the room. You mentioned being from another world."

I smiled inwardly, realizing where the mana pathways I had observed around the palace led to. "Yes, Your Majesty, we are from another world."

Before continuing with the conversation, the Emperor asked about the Church of the Black Sun and our own kingdom. He provided us with all the necessary details, which I summarized and organized in my mind after listening to him.

One of the most fascinating aspects of this world was its magic system. Though they also employed mana, their method of utilizing it was vastly different from what I was accustomed to. Instead of relying on mana cores, they used mana circles to regulate the flow of mana both from the atmosphere and their own bodies. These circles were classified as follows:

1 Circle – Black Core
2 Circles – Red Core
3 Circles – Orange Core
4 Circles – Yellow Core
5 Circles – Silver Core
6 Circles – White Core
7 Circles – Low Asuran/Scythe Level
8 Circles – Mid Asuran Level

Furthermore, it was intriguing to observe how swordsmen fought in this world. Rather than employing mana circles like magicians, they utilised something called aura. Being a magic swordsman himself, the Emperor was not as knowledgeable about aura as he was about magic.

"Could you tell me about the Church of the Black Sun?" I asked the Emperor.

"As for the Church of the Black Sun, they were once a powerful and peaceful organization known as the Church of the Sun," the Emperor explained in response to my question. "But a few years ago, everything changed when a new pope was elected. He became obsessed with Princess Angelina's affinity for something known as holy power, the power of Ra worshipped by the Church. Despite my objections, the pope tried to forcefully take her. When his attempt failed, I demanded his execution, but instead, he declared war."

Despite being outnumbered, the Church proved to be a formidable opponent. They were able to summon powerful creatures known as "battle angels," whose holy power had changed from a healing power to a destructive and corrupting one. These angels had four swords and were capable of tearing apart soldiers from the sky like hawks. Some even possessed the power of 6 and 7 circle mages.

However, the tide of the battle began to shift when the pope himself entered the fray. He battled the Great Sage and the Emperor on equal footing and even released chimeras that caused widespread destruction.

As a result, the Empire was on the brink of collapse, and the Church was about to breach the border. The Emperor had planned to leave to fight alongside the crimson-haired knight Albert after bidding farewell to his daughter.

I couldn't help but exhale in awe as I imagined the enormous task ahead of them. The stakes were high, and the reward better be worth it.
