My heart pounded in my chest as I watched Jude, his expression distant and thoughtful. It was clear from his demeanour that he had become aware of my feelings towards him.

'He knows,' I thought to myself, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and vulnerability. Despite my trepidation, I couldn't help but wonder if he felt the same way about me.

As Father and Jude discussed the potential rewards for his and Cordelia's help in protecting the Empire, my attention was drawn back to the present. It was decided that Jude would be given ownership of the sword and be granted the full support of the Empire in his battle against the Asuras.

Though I was happy for Jude's success, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness knowing that his heart belonged to someone else. Despite this, I resolved to continue supporting him in any way that I could, even if it meant suppressing my own desires.

As the discussion drew to a close and everyone began to disperse, I found myself unable to let go of my feelings for Jude. With a forced smile, I approached him and asked if we could speak in private.

"Hero Jude, can I talk to you personally?" I said, my heart pounding in my chest.

Jude's emerald eyes scanned me for a moment before he nodded his head in agreement. He turned to Cordelia and said, "I'll be back later," before following me to a nearby room.

I signalled to Aluxio, our faithful guard, to wait outside before stepping into the room with Jude. As I entered, I couldn't help but notice the texture of the surroundings change, an indication that Jude had used his magic to create a private space for us.

I sat down on the couch and gestured for Jude to take a seat opposite me. A heavy silence descended upon the room as we both waited for the other to speak.

Finally, I mustered up the courage to break the silence. "Hero Jude," I began, my voice barely above a whisper. "I have something to tell you. I like you."

I watched as Jude's expression softened, and I couldn't help but feel hopeful that maybe, just maybe, he felt the same way.

Taking a deep breath, I continued to pour my heart out to Jude. "It all started when you saved me," I began. "You cured me of the curse that had haunted me for over a year. I am forever grateful to you for that, Hero Jude."

I paused for a moment, gathering my thoughts before continuing. "But then, something inside of me began to change. My feelings towards you became more than just gratitude. I started to feel a deep and intimate connection to you that I couldn't ignore."

As I spoke, I watched as Jude's expression softened, his eyes locked onto mine, encouraging me to continue.

"I fell in love with you," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "You were constantly on my mind, and my heart would flutter every time I saw you. I couldn't keep these feelings inside any longer, Jude."

Silence hung heavy in the air as I waited for his response, my heart racing with anticipation.

"Princess Angelina," Jude began, his voice calm and steady. "Before I respond to your feelings, it is important that you understand everything about me and my other world."

With that, Jude proceeded to explain the intricacies of his world, Dicathen, and his childhood. He spoke about his life as the greatest genius of the world, his tutelage under the most powerful mage, his relationship with the Princess of Sapin, his short academy life, and the war between Dicathen and Alacarya.

As Jude spoke, my heart thumped with a mix of emotions. I learned about the light and darkness of his life, the sacrifices he had made despite his strength, and the two women he had given everything to - Princess Kathyln and Hero Cordelia.
