Yovin received a call saying that Attorney Jasper Villafuerte was rushed to the hospital this morning after meeting a car accident on his way to La Nuevo.

Ayaw pa sana akong isama ni Yovin but I insisted on coming with him. I know he's afraid that this incident will trigger something from my past trauma but I assured him that I can manage.

I know that he needs me right now.

"We're suspecting that someone sabotaged his car. Nicolai Navarro said while massaging the bridge of his nose. Trying to conceal his already obvious worry for his friend.

We're currently outside the operating room. Villafuerte.

"How's he?" Yovin asked quietly after a short while.

Nicolai sighed before answering. "Critical. But your cousin promised me that he will do his best to save him. He's one of the best surgeons here in the country so I trust him."

Yovin sighed. Somehow, I have felt that he was relieved knowing that it was Doc Jeremy who's in charge of the operation.  "Where's Gustav?"

Nicolai gave me a short glance as if he's not comfortable talking that I'm around and listening. He looked hesitant but in the end, he didn't have any choice but to answer because Yovin is waiting. "He's currently leading the investigation."

Yovin nodded, unaware of Nicolai's hesitation.

It was a long pause before I finally decided to have my exit.

I slightly cleared my throat to get their attention. I need to create an excuse for them to have an opportunity to talk in private. It must be very confidential. Or maybe he just doesn't trust me yet.

What an excuse, Mistyca.

"Yes, please. Thank you."

I assured him before walking away.

I guess thirty minutes will do.

I was greeted with some of my colleagues the moment I entered and was asked why I am on leave kaya medyo natagalan pa ako bago nakalapit sa counter. Sayang at wala rito ngayon sina Gajo.

"Anong sayo, Nurse Misty?"
