**Jesika's Point Of View**

"Woo hope you don't mind me showering here mom. Your house was the closest after a long jog." I yelled out of breath storming through her door. I wiped the beads of sweat from my forehead with my sweatshirt. I searched around for her while closing the front door behind me. I then heard pots clattering from the kitchen and heard humming as well. I smiled and ran to the kitchen. I peeked from the corner and saw her dancing to her humming to Patti Labelle "If Only You Knew". I couldn't help but cover my hand over my lips and giggle at her. She gasped and turned around. "Having fun there?" I asked between giggles. She smiled and placed her hand over her chest. "Jesi you scared me!"

"You didn't hear me at the door?" She giggled. "No." - "Ohh well I'm here to take a shower and change here. Hope you don't mind? Your house was the closest." - "Sure baby go right ahead." - "Mind if I get some water?" I asked her. "Yeah here you go." She said throwing me a water bottle. I smiled and thanked her. I took a sip of water and moaned. "You seem awfully happy! What's going on?" I giggled hardly almost choking on my water. I could feel my dimples pierce hardly through my skin. "Mom what do you mean?" She lifted a brow and folded her arms while leaning against the stove. "I don't know you have this glow." I looked from side to side and couldn't help but smirk. "You're still not hanging out with Michael are you?" I bursted out with laughter. "Mommy don't tell me you're still mad about that?" She rolled her eyes and turned around. Her back was facing me and she sighed while looking in the pantry.

My smile disappeared and I knew her emotions were getting tenser and tenser by the seconds. I sighed and walked over to her and placed my hand on her shoulder. "Mommy haven't you always taught me to forgive people?" - "Yes but don't you forget.. Never forget.." She said turning to face me. She held my face. "When you disappeared that fateful night without a goodbye or a warning. That scared me. I didn't know if you were dead or alive. I didn't know if I would ever see you again. My life was over. When you showed up at my doorstep a year later I was so happy.. I lived again.. I was determined to never let you out of my sight.. Which is why I'm so protective of you now. I don't want to see you hurt by him again. I don't know what I'd do if you left me again." She said as water filled her eyes. I took a deep breath and bit my lip to keep from breaking down. "Ohh mommy." I whispered.

"Mommy when I left. I did it to find me again. I was so confused about myself that I had to get away. I didn't do it to hurt you. But to make you prouder. Look at me. I'm stronger than I've ever been before." She wiped under her eyes and nodded. "I know baby. I just.. I can never forgive him for that. Not ever. That should be you and him getting married. He has done you so wrong. And I never want him around me again." - "Mommy me and him are just friends. It's not like that with us now." - "I don't like the idea of that at all. Especially the fact that his girl knows nothing of this." - "He said he's going to tell her." She stretched her lips and scoffed afterwards. "Yeah right when?" She said before walking away. "Mommy." I whined running behind her.

"Okay, mind if I pick you up?"

"No I don't Michael."

"You have any plans afterwards?"

"No I don't."
