04: Three Challenges

"Sige, angat mo pa siya. Gawin niyong natural 'yung pag-angat, dapat mukhang madali lang and magaan lang para graceful 'yung effect ng pag-angat at pag-bagsak niya."

Sinubukan ulit nila, and this time, mas maayos na ang itsura ng pag-angat ng partner niya.

"Great! You just need to work on sa pag-salo mo sa kanya, pero the rest, okay na. Great job!" Compliment ko sa lalaking junior.

"Just a tip, when you catch her, hold her as if her life depends on you and she's too much to lose for you. Keep in mind that you're not just dancing to a love song, you are telling the story of the love song," Lucas told the guy which made them smile.

Lucas is the type to stay quiet and look sharply at each performer's dance, he will not speak until the entire performance is finished. So the juniors often get nervous when Lucas watches their performances because he doesn't give a single word the entire performance and keeps a straight face. So every time Lucas gives a compliment, which is very rare, they would smile widely. They would often jump whenever Lucas gives them a tip too.

"That was so nice of you," I whispered.

"What?"

"To give them a tip."

"I just told them what I think needs to be improved."

"You did, and I think your tip's very helpful."

"Thanks," he smiled.

Lumipat naman kami sa is a pang pair na nasa sulok ng room. Lahat kasi ngayon ay busy dahil ngayon ang araw na magp-perform ang lahat sa harap ni Miss Prieto. Hindi magkanda-ugaga ang karamihan sa sobrang kaba.

"Why don't we scare them a bit?" I asked in joking manner, not expecting Lucas to take it seriously.

"Your shoulders are off beat," hirit niya agad kaya napatingin ang ibang malapit sa 'min.

Nagulat naman ang babaeng sinabihan niya na wala raw sa beat ang galaw ng balikat niya, which is true.

"Lucas," I whispered para pagsabihan siya pero hindi niya ako pinansin.

"You raise them twice, not three times."

"Ehem," I cleared my voice. "That's right, kaya nawawala ka sa beat kasi twice lang ang angat ng shoulders mo dapat."

"Ah, thank you po. Sorry po," nakangiting sabi ng babae.

"Very good, you take comments as a way to learn and improve. Great job, junior." Lucas complimented which made the girl squeal a bit.

Luh, kinilig?

Pinanuod pa namin sgalit ang performance nila at mukhang ayos naman na, may mai-improve pa, pero given na three days lang meron ang lahat to practice, ayos na rin.

"Upo muna tayo, nakakailang pairs na rin tayo eh." Aya ko na tipid niyang tinanguan.

Nang makaupo kami sa sahig habang nakasandal sa locker, buo sa view namin sina Brian at Ali na busy mag-practice. Natawa pa 'ko dahil biglang binatukan ni Ali si Brian nang mali ang pag-salo niya rito.

"I'm so in love with you, and I hope you know~" Kanta ni Lucas sa tabi ko.

Ang ganda talaga ng boses niya, lahat ng kanta binabagayan. Although he is mostly into music and singing, I can't deny that he's still more talented than me. Considering that he's good at dancing too aside from all the instruments he can play. Rap lang ata ang hindi niya kayang gawin dahil hindi niya trip ang masyadong aggressive na para sa vocals niya.

"Do you think we'll be able to finish this season peacefully?" I asked curious.

"The world we are in is very chaotic, Celeste. But... I think you can do it."
