'It'll be difficult, Ani, but if you're as willing as I am-'

'Have I not shown that I'm willing? I'm beyond willing at this point.'

Stood in the dark in the first Jedi Temple, Sol and Anakin were lit by the colours of their lightsabers. With the cyan and blue crossed over on the depiction of the balanced Jedi, the cavern's thick black was severed from its centre. The winds raged in the early hours of the day, and it would be dawn in a few hours. But unlike most who awoke and rejoiced at the sight of rising suns and vibrant skies, the trapped Jedi wished the night would prolong forever.

After another update from Captain Rex, the two learnt that the droid army had set up camp and were intending to attack the remaining Republic presence at dawn. That meant that the 501st legion would be hunted, and Sol and Anakin would have nowhere to flee. R2 had peeped out of the cave, only to see that the ship that had attacked them had been stationed below the stone ledge. Sol predicted that they felt uneasy from the strong currents of the Force that flowed from inside the cave and were wary in entering in the dark. Even though droids could not sense the Force, remnants of its strong presence can be sensed by even the weakest of minds. They would wait untill dawn, and Sol, Anakin and R2 would be killed in an execution-style ambush.

But the Jedi tried to remain optimistic in the dark cavern. Anakin mentioned that it was because the walls thrived with the history of the Jedi and its hold of the light side of the Force, filling their Force-sensors with hope. Obi-wan would return before dawn with his clone legion, and they would be saved. The hidden base would be located in the oceans, and they would annihilate all separatist activity from the Ahch-To system. They had no choice but to believe this was possible.

'Sol, you are... all I think about.'

Sol was silent as Anakin's hands cupped the sides of her face. Their kiss had been the element they needed in order to finally talk about their feelings for each other in detail. Sol noticed that they only admitted their feelings when they were fearing for their lives, as their first confession had been before their presumed execution on Geonosis. But Sol didn't object, as the way Anakin had kissed her stirred something in her that she had never felt before.

As if the rigid edges fell into place in the puzzle that was her feelings, Sol relished in Anakin's soft lips and closeness of his body. Their Force signatures intwined and their hearts rushed when they pulled away after a sensual kiss. In a moment of whistling winds from outside, their shaky breaths sounded as Sol opened her eyes to look at Anakin with sparkling, light purple eyes. She was in a state of euphoria, and at the sound of Anakin's heavy breaths and fluttering lashes, Sol wanted to jump back in to feel his lips once more.

'You're on my mind, in my stomach, in my lungs, Force, you're even in my dreams,' Anakin spoke with his voice rasping with desperation. The tip of his nose brushed against Sol's at the closeness of their faces and Sol couldn't look away, not because of his hands that cupped her cheeks, but because of the intensity in his eyes.

'I can feel you, no matter where you are in the galaxy,' Sol shivered at the deepness of his voice. 'I need only to look for you, and you're there, Solaris. I will do everything I can to keep you near, and the Order doesn't have to know about that.'

Through the buzzing that Sol could feel from her chest to the tips of her fingers, Sol couldn't help but remember why the relief she was so good. She had waited to hear these words, and the blue eyes that looked into hers were overwhelming her to the point of losing her senses, but she had to know why it had taken Anakin so long to admit these wonderful words.

'Ani... I... have to ask you this...'

'Is it in the regard of a rejection?'

'No!' she cried, making the corner of Anakin's lip hitch up to hold back a chuckle. 'No, I have so much to say and I hope that I can express my feelings to the extent that you have. But you have been... distant in the past year. I thought that you had... forgotten about what happened on Geonosis.'
