When Love is Gone

A bitter ending is better than an endless bitterness,
The truth is that it’s easier to move on and start afresh.
When love is gone, it hurts so much,
But we can’t keep holding on, it’s time to let go and such.

The tears we cry when love is lost
Is the price we pay at all cost,
We pour out our emotions and grieve,
But soon we must rise and leave.

When pain and heartache have left us feeling numb,
With tears that fall like rain, and hearts that feel so dumb,
We know that something has to change,
Our lives are rearranged.

But it’s so difficult to move along,
When love has been a part of us so long.
We hold onto memories, good and bad,
And often wonder if we’ve gone mad.

We replay moments in our minds,
And pray that it's all just a sign.
We want to turn back the hands of time,
And hold onto love, to make it ours to find.

But things don’t always go as planned,
And love can slip away from our hands,
We must accept that love is gone,
And move on with the dawn.

It’s hard to let go of what we’ve known,
But we must find the strength to stand alone.
To push away the fears that hold us down,
And climb the walls of pain till we touch the crown.

We must find the courage to mend our hearts,
And leave behind the things that tear us apart.
To seek new horizons, new faces and friends,
And open up new doors that life has to send.

When love is gone, we must find a way out,
We must dance again, even if we have a pout.
To find the joy that makes us sing,
And open our hearts to new Blessons we can bring.

For an endless bitterness can break us down,
And leave us in a world of pain we drown.
But a bitter ending can give us hope,
And let us see the light that helps us cope.

So, though it hurts to let love go,
We must find the courage to grow.
And in the end, we’ll find once more,
That life has something new in store.

We’ll find a love that’s true and bright,
And bless the day we gave up on the plight.
And though it may take time to heal,
We’ll know that love is still real.

Let’s embrace the end and start again,
To find new life – free from pain.
And though love may come and go,
We’ll cherish each moment, just so.

A bitter ending is better than an endless bitterness,
And love can still be ours, even in its absence.
We need to trust the journey of life,
And know – that after every darkness, there’s still light!
