When Words Fail

When's the last time you told someone how you really feel?
Spilled your heart out, raw and real?
With every word, your soul laid bare
Inviting them to truly care

Has it been a day, a week, a year?
Since you allowed your vulnerability to appear?
Or is it something you simply avoid
All those feelings, left unexplored

Maybe it's the fear of rejection
Or not wanting to cause affection
Perhaps it's the pain of past experience
That keeps you from offering your heart's clearance

We build walls and wear masks
So no one sees behind our facade's glass
We push away those who dare to try
To see beyond our perfect lie

But what if we let our guard down?
What if we let our buried emotions be found?
What beauty and healing could arise
If we were brave enough to share the prize

It's not about being right or wrong
It's about admitting that we're not always strong
We need connection and love to survive
So take a deep breath and let your heart come alive

Say the words that have been weighing you down
Speak clearly, without a frown
Allow your emotions to take the stage
And don't be afraid to show your rage

For when words fail to leave our lips
We become prisoners of our own personal eclipse
Stuck in a world where communication fails
Our emotions become a story, forever held in tales

It's never too late to let others in
To show the world the beauty within
So take a leap of faith and let it out
The world needs to hear what you're all about

When's the last time you told someone how you really feel?
It's time to release the seal
Open your heart and unlock the key
Let go of the fear and set your emotions free.
