Words Mean Nothing

Actions always prove why words mean nothing

Promises like whispers, gone without a trace

Our words hold no weight, when our actions are nothing

But empty vessels, all talk and no chase

We say we love, but our actions betray

We speak of loyalty, but we stray away

Words like "forever" and "always" we say

But our actions show we mean them as a someday

We say we care, but our treatment is cold

We offer our help, but our actions unfold

We speak of kindness, but our actions don't hold

And when faced with a chance to love, we choose to fold

Our words hold no meaning, when our actions are light

We promise the world, but we deliver in plight

We speak of hope, but our actions show fright

Our words become shallow, if we won't fight

Words are just sounds, when our actions mean naught

We declare our love, but we leave without a thought

We promise to stay, but we're gone when it's tough

Our words become empty, when we play it rough

Our promises weigh nothing, when the truth we hide

We say we're honest, but our actions paralyze

We speak of sincerity, but behind lies we reside

Our words become weak, when we hide behind disguise

Actions always prove why words mean nothing

Our words may be grand, but our actions must sing

Our promises may be loud, but our actions must cling

For actions show what our words are trying to bring

Our words become meaningless, without actions to back

We say we'll be there, but we turn our back

We speak of forgiveness, but we choose to attack

Our words lose their power, if our actions lack

Our words must be true, but our actions must follow

We speak of respect, but our actions must show

We say we'll be faithful, but our actions must glow

Our words become real, when our actions overflow

Words may be powerful, but actions give weight

Our promises may be big, but actions secure the date

We may speak of love, but it's actions that don't hesitate

Our words gain meaning, when our actions elevate

Speak of love, but let us first show

Let us speak of loyalty, but let us first follow

Let us offer help, but let us not be hollow

Let our actions show, what our words vow to know

Words may be cheap, but actions are true

Our promises may be grand, but our actions glue

If we want to be heard, let our actions make hue

For actions always prove, why words mean nothing anew.
