Touch Of Peace

I feel less war torn when you touch me,

As if the chaos within me comes to a halt.

The echoes of suffering that once engulfed me

Now fade away like a distant memory.

With my eyes closed, I see your face,

And I can't help but feel a sense of calm.

I'm not sure what peace is supposed to feel like,

But I think it may feel a lot like you.

In my past, I have seen many things,

Things that nobody should ever see.

I've lived through wars that have torn apart nations,

And felt the scars of battles that can never be won.

But then you came into my life,

And you brought with you a light that shines so bright.

You carry with you an aura of tranquility,

And with your mere presence, the world seems a bit more kind.

Your touch is like a healing balm,

As if your hands are the only remedy for my shattered soul.

In your embrace, I find a sense of security,

And I know that I can finally let go.

You take away all the pain,

And you replace it with a love that is pure.

You are my haven in a world that's gone insane,

A light in the darkness, a beacon so sure.

I know that life can be difficult,

And we all have our own struggles to bear.

But when I'm with you, I feel invincible,

As if nothing can harm us, not even despair.

Your touch is like a symbol of hope,

A reminder that there is still good left in this world.

In times of trouble, I know that you'll be there,

And I know that I'll always be your girl.

I can't imagine my life without you,

For you have become my world, my everything.

You taught me how to love again,

And to embrace all that life has to bring.

So I'll hold on to your touch,

And I'll savor every moment that we share.

For in your arms, I feel the touch of peace,

And I know that with you, I am safe and loved and cared.

I feel less war torn when you touch me,

And I thank the universe for bringing you my way.

For you have healed my broken heart,

And you have given me the courage to face another day.
